Powerhouse Training

Powerhouse Training High performance sports training, powerlifting coaching, top of the line facility! Our goal is to not only create better athletes but better people.

We strive to provide top of the line results at affordable rates while keeping a positive, productive and safe training environment. As the owner of Powerhouse Training I have a passion for getting motivated individuals to the next level. I am proud of the results I have been able to produce but at the same time I am prouder of the type of individuals I have been able to be associated with over th

ose years. We are excited to present our new facility and provide a setting where young athletes can train side by side with top div. 1 and professional athletes. As a former professional athlete myself I know what it's like to have a dream and to scratch and claw my way to the top. I know what it’s like to get overlooked and told that I wasn’t good enough to make it to the next level. There is no better feeling then outworking the rest of the pack and not only proving everyone else wrong but proving yourself right all along. I’m excited to be able to draw from those experiences and help others share that one of a kind feeling. Let our proven workouts and training system take the guess work out of the equation and get you to where you want to be faster! Jon Davis, CSCS

The Longmeadow Lancers pitching staff is the real deal this season. Here is a quick overview.
All of these players had completely different focuses this off-season and each one has used the past 8 months to set themselves up for success. If you are just hopping on a generic velo program in offaeason you are selling yourself short!!!
Jackson worked on delaying rotation which brought his fb up several ticks and now touches 90. he also worked on attacking the zone with all 3 pitches
Rohan has been as high as 91 but we worked on throwing with less effort, building his stamina and being able to hold his velo in upper 8s for 80+ pitches
Derek worked on improving his ability to control his COM which increased his velo a few ticks but really worked wonders for his breaking ball.
BK had a dominating cb but worked on improving his changeup consistency while getting bigger and stronger
Fonz improved his strength and athleticism but focused on his refining his above average ability to throw multiple above average offspeed pitches in the zone.

These guys completely shut down the 1 and 2 ranked teams in the region!

Rohan 17.1 IP, 3-1 record, 29 strikeouts, 1.2 era, 1.3 whip

Jackson: 16 IP, 1-0 record, 25 strikeouts, 1.3 era , 1.4 whip

BK: 14.2 IP, 1-1 record, 1 save, 16 strikeouts, 1.9 era, 1.5 WHIP

Derek: 14 IP (all relief) , 2-1 record, 1 save , 22 strikeouts , 0.5 era , 1.1 whip, 2 pickoffs

Alfonso Izzo: 10.1 IP, 1-0 record, 2 era, .8 whip, 1 complete game vs tantasqua

We are now open for registration for our Summer baseball camps.
To register please email [email protected]

We needed a completed registration, waiver and payment before reserving spots. We can email the info to anyone interested.

Additional Details:
The camp will be run by Jon Davis and JP Catellier with help from our coaches and current college players (div 1, 2 and 3).
Unlike most camps we run ours in SMALL groups of 4-6 players per coach. This allows for more interaction with our coaches and has a small group feel that differs dramatically from most camps that have 3 total coaches working with 50 players.

We get a lot of inquiries from parents and athletes looking to improve speed, acceleration and agility. This is an area we have had tremendous success with over the last 20 yrs.
Ive summarized the key areas that everyone can work on (whether with us or on your own) in the video. Keep it fun, and stay consistent. Not everyone will develop world record speed but over time (years of training) players can make dramatic improvements. We have had players hit some jaw dropping numbers and it all starts with the foundation being laid as early as possible.

Jackson Passonno (Longmeadow Ma - 2027) has absolutely electric stuff. High 80s touches 90+. mid 70s sharp breaking ball and a split change that moves like a true split. Jackson is quick twitch and an up tempo pitcher who moves with a purpose. Hes been focused on basketball the past few months as one of his schools top players making this bullpen that much more impressive.

Checking in on a few of our local pros.
(We have been so busy training the best athletes in the area that we havent been updating our social media as much as we should - Sorry!)
Matt Shaw (MLB)- Matt is set to have another big year for one of the top teams in MLB (Chicago cubs). Matt should be a regular in the lineup as the Cubs go to utility man. This Spring training Matt is crushing it - hitting .333 with a homerun and 4 steals. Hes played LF, CF, RF, 2b, 3b, and 1b. he finished last season in 2nd for NL gold glove voting.

Alec Baker (MLB) - Alec is seeing time in big league spring training once again for the Diamondbacks. Hes made 2 appearances out of the pen and has a 0 ERA. Alec will likely start the season in AA or AAA but is competing for a bullpen spot in the big leagues.

Steve Moyers (Mexico) - Steve is entering his 11th pro season. He has had stints in AAA with the White Sox and Mariners. Hes been an all star in Mexico and the Dominican. Steve is one the most knowledgable players you will find and we are thrilled to have him offering lessons when his busy schedule allows. Steve has not had an off-season in the past 3 yrs! He has pitched professionally 10 months out of the year which is incredible.

Elian Almanzar (Mexico) - Elian is returning from TJ suegery and will get rolling in Mexico. The former Cubs prospects has a mid to upper 90s fastball that is effortless. One of the most gifted arms ive ever seen - Elian has major league stuff!

We will try and do a few more updates on our other pro guys as well as some of our top college players.

Cant wait to see who is next in line from the area.

Elian Almanzar sitting 95-97 mph off flat ground. Elian is returning from TJ surgery and looking for another shot at pro ball. When you watch him fill up the zone with EFFORTLESS mid 90s cutters its pretty clear he deserves it! Hes going to be 100 in game at 100%. Super special arm!

After driving in and seeing the roads first hand we have decided to close today. Our trainers and coaches who dont have 4 wheel drive have no shot of getting here. We were hoping the roads would be clear but the drifting snow has created road conditions that arent safe and we dont want kids attempting to travel in these conditions (and most of our coaches cant get here).
