Happy Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary!

In teaching that Mary was conceived immaculate, the Catholic Church teaches that from the very moment of her conception, the Blessed Virgin Mary was free from all stain of original sin. This simply means that from the beginning, she was in a state of grace, sharing in God's own life, and that she was free from the sinful inclinations which have beset human nature after the fall.

Hiking at Rose Lake State Wildlife Area near East Lansing!

What a great day for a hike in Ann Arbor! We hiked through Bird Hills, Kuebler Langford, Hilltop, and Barton Nature Areas on our hike!

Come on a hike on a sunny winter day tomorrow morning at Island Lake State Recreation Area near Brighton/South Lyon! We will be hiking on the Yellow Trail!

The Yellow Trail is a 5.8-mile looped route that offers views of the Huron River. The trail will take approximately 2 hours to complete.

A Michigan Recreation Passport is required for entry into Island Lake State Recreation Area.

We will be meeting at 10am in the Island Lake Mountain Bike Trailhead Parking Lot. Hope to see you on the trails!

This year’s hikes throughout the year will mainly be every 2nd Saturday or Sunday until March then every 2nd and 4th Saturday or Sunday from March through November. Locations, dates, and times will be determined. Check the Hiking Google Calendar!
