We are absolutely thrilled to announce that the incredibly talented Nicole Shorey Nicole 🦋 is officially joining our faculty! 🎉
Nicole is a professional dancer based in LA, bringing a massive wave of commercial industry experience straight to our studio. From dancing in music videos and live stage productions for major artists, to performing with the WNBA, she is versatile offering various styles including contemporary, lyrical, jazz funk, acro and hip hop. We are thrilled to add her to our team. 💜

What an unforgettable evening celebrating another incredible season together at the 2026 dance banquet. From rocking the dance floor and making memories with friends to honoring our amazing dancers, this night was truly special.
A huge congratulations to our seniors as we recognized their dedication, leadership, and lasting impact on our team. We are so proud of all that you have accomplished.
We also loved celebrating our superlative award winners and recognizing the unique talents, personalities, and contributions that make our team so special.

Join Us in Supporting the Grete R. Bressner Scholarship Fund! 💜
We are so proud to share that the Grete R. Bressner Scholarship Fund (GRBSF) has awarded over $34,000 in scholarships to more than 50 Defying Gravity students! This 501c3 non-profit is dedicated to encouraging children to participate in the performing arts, and now you have a chance to help us grow that impact.

🎟️ Raffle Ticket Details:

Price: $5 per ticket.

The Prize: Two chances to win a Scratch Ticket Flower Pot, each valued at over $600!

Our Goal: We ask that each family help by selling 12 tickets.

The Drawing: The lucky winners will be announced on June 19th during our recital!

Your contribution directly supports young dancers in our community. Envelopes were sent home the first week of May, so be sure to check those dance bags!

Ready to take your dancing to the next level? Join us for DG Company Auditions on May 30th and be part of something truly special.

We now offer TWO pathways for dancers:

Full Company (All-In Track)
For dancers ready to fully commit to training, performance, and competition. More classes, more opportunities, and the ultimate team experience.

Lite Company Track
Perfect for dancers who love competing but need a more flexible schedule. Stay involved, keep growing, and still be part of our competitive team—just with a lighter commitment.

📅 Mandatory Parent Info Session: May 9th
📅 Auditions: May 30th
💲 $20 Registration

Your dancer/s will receive an audition slot recommendation based on their current skills, evaluated by their teachers by the end of next week.
