The boys suffered their first loss to a very talented, well coached, veteran team that's consistently atop the leaderboard year after year. Our squad came in with a solid game plan ready to battle but fell just short by one score. Down 14-0 at the half these boys could've easily folded and let the wheels fall off but instead they tightened up and won the second half, proving what our coaching staff already knew; these kids are special! We couldn't be more proud of their effort and while a loss never sits well with any of us we KNOW we're building something special here! Just a few fun facts - that Rockford team hadn't been scored on all year and also hadn't won a game by less than 28 points until we arrived. We've got a squad here and we'll be hungry to finish out our last game with a big win at home vs Lowell!

A little behind on photos but here are a few from week 5 at Cedar Springs. Playing a team this big at their home field could've been intimidating for a lot of teams but our squad never flinched. In fact, the boys brought the hurt in this one setting the tone early. Our physicality and discipline had Cedar beat mentally by the end of the 1st quarter. Everyone was prepared, focused and did their job once again. The offense was clicking and the defense was stout, pitching their third shutout of the season.

The boys improve to 4-0 after another impressive win to start the season. With just 3 games left the schedule has been realigned to allow teams with similar records to face each other for the remainder of the year. This group has worked hard and is ready for the task that lies ahead! We're looking forward to an important week of practice in preparation for a solid Cedar Springs team this coming weekend. It's a fun time for football fans with homecoming on Friday and a battle between two great 5/6 squads scheduled for Saturday!

What a game vs the previously 2-0 Panthers! That was a Comstock Park team that put 40 on the board in week one. The boys continue to play great on both sides of the ball, communicating with each other and with coaches to make adjustments throughout. Coaches are loving the confidence, focus and leadership from this squad. Back to work Monday to tighten a few things up and get ready for Rockford at home this Saturday. EGR 29 - Comstock Park 0

Another complete, well balanced game from the boys last Saturday! After another lopsided win everyone showed up ready to work hard and prepare this week for a big one vs 2-0 Comstock Park. These boys continue to gel as a team and get better every practice. The entire coaching staff couldn't be more proud of their commitment and dedication week in and week out. First game is in the books! The entire coaching staff is proud of how everyone conducted themselves and worked hard from beginning until the end. We were able to work in a few new positions for most of the boys which is always great for development. Thanks to everyone who showed up to cheer us on. Next week is home vs Greenville. 10am at Memorial Field.

First few weeks of practice has been great! Boys are working hard, encouraging each other and they're eager to learn. This is special group with a ton of potential. The entire staff is excited to work together toward a fun and successful season this fall. First game is coming up soon, looking forward to seeing all the hard work pay off against Sparta!
