Hello Everyone,
The Brattleboro Storm Spring soccer U-14 girls travel team will be holding tryouts on Tuesday April 12th and Thursday April 14th from 6:00-7:30 PM at the Dummerston School soccer field. The roster is limited to 18 players for the two 2-day tournaments we are registered for. Friendly matches that we will be participating in can accommodate more players. Locally we will be playing teams from Manchester, Rutland, Woodstock, and Keene. Since these are all club travel teams the level of competition is significantly higher than local school teams. If a player does not make the travel team the practices are still open to any girl who really wants to improve her soccer skills. Several reserve players may be chosen in case a player on the roster is unavailable for a game or tournament.
Practices are held every Tuesday and Thursday at the Dummerston School soccer field from 6:00-7:30 PM.
There are two major tournaments we play in on May 28-29 and June 18-19 in Amherst NH and Weston VT.
There are also two small 1/2 day tournaments on Saturday April 30 in Rutland and Sunday May 8 in Weston. Other friendly matches may become available during May and June either home or away.
The cost per player will be $120 for registration, tournament fees, player cards, and referee fees.
The cost for uniforms is $60 per player. This is a subsidized cost by BYSA since we are changing over to the new uniforms this year. Many returning players have the old style which do not match the new ones.
The season ends on Tuesday June 21 with a game and potluck picnic for players and their families.
