Our basketball family is saddened by the passing of Coach Nicole Barnes, She was a great player, a great Coach, but most importantly a great person. Thank you for pouring into our kids and investing your time, talents, and energy into our girls on the Eastside and into all the players everywhere. We extend our deepest condolences to her family, friends, loved ones, co-workers, and all of the players and coaches whose lives she impacted along the way. Rest easy, Coach! Job well done.

Our girls had a great showing the month of June. They played ALOT of games with no weekdays off……..a whole season in a month’s time. They played teams from all over North & South GA and Alabama in 11 different team camps. Our varsity went 21 & 7 and our JV went 4 & 1.

We are proud of the team, the sacrifices they made, and the work they put in. They didn’t play with all of their players every game…..but they played. Every game is a learning experience and development of all the players is key. There was a lot of growth; there was some good stuff seen out all of the players; and there was definitely some things they need to get better at.

We want to especially give a shout out to the coaching staff Danielle Burley Lowther, Tiry Rozier, & Coach Mike Coleman for the time and work they put in too. They are some of the hardest working and most dedicated coaches we know.

Falcon Fans…….Our girls will be hosting our 4th annual Team Camp, on Monday, June 15th and Tuesday, June 16th. Come out and get a sneak peek of our team and teams from the surrounding areas, like Baldwin, Warner Robins, Vidalia, Portal, Swainsboro, Screven, Dublin, West Laurens, Hancock, Dodge, and Bradwell Institute. Admission is $5 and concessions will be available with hot food, snacks, and drinks……East Laurens style. See you in the gym the next two days.

Falcon fans..…..the deadline to order Region/State Championship shirts has been extended until Friday, May 29th at 3 pm per requests. Please complete the Google form if you would like to order. Money can be dropped off at ELHS (front desk) or sent by one of the coaches/players up until that date. Please put money (cash, cashier’s check, or money order) in a sealed envelope with your name on top. No checks please. We will designate a day/time to pick up the tshirts during the summer at the ELHS gym when they are ready. Please inbox Coach Danielle Burley Lowther or Coach Tiry Rozier if you have any questions. We will be ordering Region and State Championship shirts as a highlight and memorable keepsake of our historic season. If you are interested in ordering, please send cash, money order, or cashiers check no later than Monday (5/25/26) by 2 pm. No checks please. No shirts will be ordered without payment.
