We are now half way through our trap program. The rain held off long enough today for us to get our squads in with a few shooters scoring new personal bests.

Want to try trap shooting?

The Butler City Hunting &Fishing Club will be holding an 8 week youth trap program starting Aug 23, 2026. We will meet each Sunday at 4pm. Program is open to club members under 18 who are able to safely fire a shotgun on their own. Youth memberships are available for $10. Cost for the program is $40 and will include 25 targets and required ammo each week. Additional targets may be purchased, you will need to supply ammo for additional shooting. Spaces are limited due to ammo availability and time. If interested please email [email protected]

Great shoot coming up to benefit The Evans City Black Gold Youth Trap Team.

Several of our youth trap shooters competed with the Evans City Black Gold youth trap team at the SCTP regionals in Marengo Oh today. Everyone shot very well.

Special congratulations to Lucy Doutt and Alana Geibel on their 2nd and 4th place finishes in the Ladies Senior varsity class with scores or 97/100 and 96/100

WOW, that was fast! In just over two and a half hours 300 seats have been filled for our 2026 youth field day!

We do still have a few spot on the waiting list if you would like to sign up.

If you find out you are unable to attend, please contact us so we can open your spots for others.
