✨ Well, that’s a wrap on August 2026! ✨

What a month! We logged hundreds of mountain bike miles, collected a few fun race accomplishments, and apparently confirmed the saying… like mother, like daughter. 🚵‍♀️💨❤️

Maleena is still spinning two wheels and lacing up cleats for fall soccer ⚽️, while I’ve been busy turning our Jay house into an Airbnb one room (and one Amazon package 😂) at a time. 🏡⛰️

And Kate? Well… she’s been living her best life, feasting on the garden every chance she gets. 🥕🌱🐕

August, you kept us busy — and we wouldn’t have it any other way. ❤️

This weekend, I hung up my cycling shoes and traded racing for cheering from the sidelines. ❤️🚵‍♀️

Watching Maleena take on her first solo mountain bike race at Kingdom Bike Fest was pretty awesome. 💪🔥

Perfect weather, great trail conditions, and an incredible effort made for a pretty special day.

Maleena finished 4th out of 8 girls in the 11–18 age category (youngest on the podium), tackling 3 x 5-mile laps with a total of 1,800 feet of elevation gain! ⛰️💥

So proud of this girl and excited to see where her two wheels take her next! 🚵‍♀️❤️ Pretty sure I was more nervous watching than she was racing.

Starting August with a bang. 💥

The 24 Hours of Great Glen will always have a special place in my heart. It’s where I met Matt back in 2009. In 2010, I lined up for my first-ever 24-hour solo race. Sixteen years later, it’s pretty cool to know I can still convince myself that racing my bike all day (and all night) is a good idea. 😅

Grateful for another unforgettable weekend, the amazing people this race brings together, and proof that age doesn’t get the final say—your mindset does. ❤️

I’d be remiss if I didn’t give a huge shoutout to my incredible support crew. There is no way I could have done this without my husband, Matt, and my beautiful daughter. They kept me going through every high and low.

At this stage of my life, I think I sign up for these crazy adventures for more than just the finish line. I do them to show my daughter that hard things are worth chasing—that courage, grit, and perseverance can take you farther than you ever imagined. If she grows up believing she’s capable of doing hard things, every mile was worth it. ❤️

Last race of the season and closing out U12 era ⛷️

Sugar Slalom 2026 brought everything — sunshine, downpours, and some unforgettable moments.

☀️ Saturday: bluebird skies + a top 10 finish in tall pole
🌧️ Sunday: 6 HOURS of rain pulling off a 6th place in dual panel

Huge shoutout to Mom for toughing it out hand timing in the rain — two rain jackets, protecting those paper sheets like a pro 🙌

Between the racing: funny faces with friends, lots of laughs, and even got to meet Olympians Paula Moltzan and Ryan Cochran-Siegle 🤯

Couldn’t have asked for a better way to wrap up the season. On to the next chapter… 💥❄️

Another strong race weekend at Smuggs 💪⛷️

Day 1 GS: 8th overall
Day 2 SL: 5th overall

Battled through some wild weather and came out stronger 🌨️🔥

Grateful for the progress and the grind—on to the next! 🙌
