CrossFit Crush

CrossFit Crush We strive to provide the best quality training through constantly varied, high intensity workouts that can be scaled and modified to meet anyone’s needs.

CrossFit CRUSH started out with a small group of family and friends, and word quickly spread around town. Before we knew it, we were ordering more equipment, adding more classes, and getting a space to accommodate the masses! We believe that anyone can do CrossFit, regardless of age, ability, fitness level, or any other factors. If you are willing to put in the effort, than you will get amazing re

sults! We can help you meet your goals, whether you want to run a 5K, lose 20 pounds, gain muscle, increase flexibility, or even compete at an elite level. CrossFit is for the senior citizen who wants to be able to live independently, as well as for the Olympic athlete who wants to win the gold medal. Our focus is quality over quantity, and learning to use functional, efficient movements to better our lives in whatever capacity that may be.

Part 3 of our gym rules. And the last part. Taking care of our equipment and safety.
🏋‍♂️ Equipment
1️⃣ Empty barbells are never to be dropped. Neither are dumbbells or kettlebells. These items will break. Our money is better spent on parties than replacing equipment.
2️⃣ If you have a barbell with a single pair of 10 or 15 lb plates, do not drop from overhead. They will also break. Cue Sarah McLachlan - save the 10s!
🏋‍♀️ Safety
1️⃣ Listen to the coach and be aware of your surroundings. Injuries usually happen due to ego, please leave that at the door.
2️⃣ Lastly, don't cheat. No one cares about your score. They care about your effort. No one likes a rep shaver or a cheater. And, your coach knows if you cut reps.

Part ✌️ of our gym rules: courtesy.
1️⃣ Listen to the coach. And let the coaches do the coaching. At the whiteboard be courteous, you may understand the workout, but others may not. Stay quiet and listen.
2️⃣ Be on time. We understand traffic, family and life happens, so if you're late do your best to mimic what others are doing and assimilate as best as possible.
3️⃣ Chalk. Everyone's favorite. It might be helpful, necessary for some, but be respectful. Keep it in the bucket or on your hands, not the floor.
4️⃣ Treat the gym like your parents house. Don't wear dirty shoes onto the floor. Clean up after yourself. Put things away. In general leave the gym in better condition than you found it.
5️⃣ Speaking of parents, kids are welcome as long as they are well behaved. They should remain off the floor during class times. And the front of the gym is not a jungle gym - no silly monkeys jumping on the couch.
Thanks for reading! Later this week we will talk equipment and safety.

Do you know our gym rules? The big, huge sign over the drinking fountain that's easy to ignore?
Let's review them just in case you haven't read them.
Kindess
- introduce yourself to new members. If you see someone you don't recognize, give them a shake and say "hello".

- support your classmates. Cheer them on and don't put away your equipment until everyone is finished. Foam roll, stretch, but don't breakdown your barbell until your team is finished. We are a team.

We do offer Nutrition coaching/counseling. Coach Dana leads our nutritional coaching. She has seen success with several of her clients. Here are pictures of one of her clients that has lost those "last 15 to 20lbs"...which are the hardest to lose.
From that client:
"I’m so grateful to Dana for being my nutrition coach these last six months. She is very motivating and understanding about how life can change from day to day. I tried to loose my extra weight by myself for a couple years and never got very far, but the accountability I had to have with Dana made a huge difference for me. I lost weight and I gained a lot of confidence, I’m sleeping better, and my habits and mental health are much better. If you need someone to coach you to better nutrition, I definitely recommend Dana! She is an amazing person to go on this weight loss journey with!"
Shoot us a DM or talk to myself or Dana to get started!

Please welcome Kala to our coaching staff!! We're excited to have her coaching either our 5am classes or evening classes. Here is a bit about Kala:
"Im originally from Texas but I’ve been in CO 22 years now.  I’ve been married to Max for 17 of those. We have two incredible girls (V, 16 / Lu, 13) who also enjoy CrossFit.  I run the insurance collection team at CU Medicine and love the leadership aspect of mu job the most. Although I haven’t done CrossFit long, I immediately fell in love with it.  The community has been like family.  I love that we celebrate at every level, every ounce of progress.  I also thoroughly love being over the top dramatic about how soul crushing the work is while continuing to show up day after day secretly ready for the next challenge.  😬
I have been CrossFitting for 2.5 years. And my CrossFit Crush is Nancy - 5 rounds: 400 meter run, 15 overhead squats.
But… if I could choose any workout, I’m a sucker for one rep maxes so I’d hands down go with the CrossFit Total - sum of the best of 3 attempts at each lift: Back Squat, Strict Press, Deadlift."
