Meet Rylee Meierer -11 Years old

🥎Favorite part about softball: “Playing games, having fun with my teams, chants, dancing, and winning

We had our first pitching lesson together Sunday out in East Aurora, NY. One thing about Rylee is that she was incredibly respectful and had the drive in herself to want to learn and be better. It was a hot day Sunday and there was not one complaint.

For being somewhat new to pitching Rylee already has a well developed leg drive and we will be working to improve arm speed as well as becoming more comfortable with her fastball spin!

After a long winter we are getting some practice in, and this girl is doing it in the snow!

Some things about Jenell:
🥎Grade: 4th
🥎Position other than pitcher: 3rd base
🥎why she wants to be a pitcher: “I have a heck of an arm and I want to use what God gave me”
🥎Favorite thing about softball: hitting the ball, her teammates cheering her on, and cheering on her teammates!

Jenell has come a long way with her technique, speed, and fastball spin! Jenell puts in a lot of practice at home with her family, and gets better each and every practice. She is one strong girl, careful not to get her mad otherwise she will bring the heat🔥

In the second video Jenell is throwing a 12oz ball (a normal ball weighs about 5.5oz) this forces her to throw with her whole body rather than just throwing with her arm. Believe me the ball feels a lot heavier than you’d think! She did a great job adjusting her grip and release point, overall just learning how to control her pitches as well as throwing the ball harder

Here’s our hometown girl Kailyn Dinkins! Kailyn is 15 years old, and I was extremely impressed with the progress we made within just one practice. Kailyn not only physically corrected some mistakes, but she was able to realize why doing things a different way would be more beneficial. We used the anchor tool to practice keeping weight on the back leg, and assure an arm circle tight to the rest of the body. (Third video)

Yesterday out in East Aurora, NY Danika Bielecki put in some work. We did a duel practice of pitching and hitting. Danika is just 9 years old and look at that bat control!! She is pretty new to pitching, and extremely coachable. Just from this practice you can see her start to break some of the old habits that she has.
Some things about Danika:

Favorite part about softball: “throwing the ball”

One goal for pitching: “getting my feet to move better to build momentum”

She is on the right track

In the spotlight today is Emma Spink. Emma is the one who made me a pitching coach, she has worked so hard to get where she is today. Emma is 15 years old and plays for Attica’s JV softball team. Emma has an amazing ability to take in everything she is taught and use it to her benefit. The first video she is throwing a fast ball, and the second video is where she is at with her drop ball at the moment! here are a few things about Emma

Favorite part about softball: “seeing my progress as the season goes on and having fun with my friends”

One goal for pitching this year: “get consistent with my drop ball”

Hi everyone. My name is Samantha Sawyer, Sammie for short. A little bit about myself is that I am 19 years old and I have been a pitching coach for about 3 years now. I have lot of experience with softball. I played travel softball for two years through NY Inferno, I pitched for varsity from 7th grade to my senior year, and I have been to many pitching and hitting clinics. The knowledge I give to the girls I coach comes from my travel coaches, my varsity coaches, and the college coaches that I have learned from through my clinics. I look forward to showcasing my girls’ progress, and hopefully inspire other girls go find their passion in softball🥎
