Enchanted Depths, Early, TX (2026)

A LITTLE MAGIC, A LOT OF MEMORIES... AND A STORY STILL UNFOLDING! 🌙✨🧜‍♀️

Some moments are simply to special not to relive. 🩵

From behind the lens to beneath the moontide, here's a little glimpse of the wonder, excitement, and unforgettable moments that made "Siren Cassiondra's, Keeper of the Moon Tide" community debut so special.

📸 MOVIE IN THE PARK ~ HIGHLIGHT REEL ~ PART 1 OF 2

And our Enchanted Depths' Team isn't finished sharing the magic just yet! More treasured moments are still making their way to the surface. 🐚🫧

BECAUSE THE BEST PART OF CREATING MAGIC IS GETTING TO SHARE IT WITH OTHERS. 💜

🎁🧜‍♀️ BUT WAIT… THERE’S MORE MAGIC ON THE HORIZON!

For those who joined our Coral Guardian Club (CGC) during "Movie in the Park," the excitement isn’t over just yet! As a special part of our event, those who signed up for the Coral Guardian Club were entered into our MERMAID APPEARANCE GIVEAWAY, valued at $250! 🌊💜

We will soon be announcing the lucky winner who will receive an Enchanted Depths mermaid appearance of their very own! Be sure to keep an eye on our page for the official announcement. The treasures may have been sorted, but there’s still a little magic waiting to be discovered! 🐚✨

🌙🧜‍♀️ THE MOON TIDE MADE ITS WAY TO EARLY… AND WHAT A MAGICAL EVENING IT WAS! 🌊✨

What an incredible evening of community, imagination, and memories made beneath the October sky!

Enchanted Depths had the pleasure of joining Visit Early Texas -Early Visitors & Events Center's, "Movie in the Park," and this year’s event marked a very special milestone for our growing mermaid family — the official community debut of Siren Cassiondra, Keeper of the Moon Tide! 🌙🐚

From the excitement of meeting our newest siren to the little hands eagerly discovering and sorting the mermaid’s treasures, every interaction was a beautiful reminder of why we do what we do. There’s something extraordinary about watching a child’s curiosity turn into wonder. The smiles, conversations, photographs, and excitement shared throughout the evening are the moments that bring the world of Enchanted Depths to life. 💙

For us, professional mermaiding has never been simply about wearing a tail. It’s about creating meaningful experiences, encouraging imagination, inspiring curiosity about our aquatic world, and giving families memories they can carry long after the magic of the moment has passed. And as our team continues to grow, so does our ability to bring those experiences to more people. 🌊

To Visit Early and everyone involved in organizing "Movie in the Park," thank you for creating another wonderful opportunity for our community to come together and for welcoming Enchanted Depths as part of the festivities. To every family who visited our cove, every child who helped sort Siren Cassiondra’s treasures, and everyone who stopped to welcome our newest mermaid — THANK YOU! Your excitement and support mean more than you know.

📸 Now, we’re sharing a little of that magic with YOU! (Part 1 of 2)

Enjoy a glimpse into our evening through some of the wonderful moments captured along the way. If you recognize a familiar face, feel free to share your favorite memory with us in the comments! 🫧

One mermaid began the story. Another has joined the adventure. And the waters of Enchanted Depths continue to grow. 🧜‍♀️🌙

Until our next encounter… may you always find a little magic beneath the surface. 💜🌊

𝑶𝑵𝑬 𝑺𝑻𝑼𝑫𝑬𝑵𝑻. 𝑶𝑵𝑬 𝑩𝑰𝑹𝑻𝑯𝑫𝑨𝒀. 𝑶𝑵𝑬 𝑷𝑹𝑬𝑻𝑻𝒀 𝑬𝑿𝑻𝑹𝑨𝑶𝑹𝑫𝑰𝑵𝑨𝑹𝒀 𝑴𝑰𝑳𝑬𝑺𝑻𝑶𝑵𝑬! 🫧🧜🏼‍♀️🫧

This past Saturday, Enchanted Depths officially completed our inaugural 𝙎𝙎𝙄 𝙏𝙧𝙮 𝙈𝙚𝙧𝙢𝙖𝙞𝙙 𝙀𝙭𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚 at the YMCA of Abilene, and our very first student, Melanie Mauldin Childress, chose to celebrate her BIRTHDAY with us!
🧜🏽‍♂️🎂🧜🏼‍♀️

Now, some might look at a class with one student and see a small beginning. But from where we were swimming poolside, there was absolutely nothing small about what took place. Because this wasn’t simply a birthday activity or an opportunity to put on a mermaid tail and take a few pictures. It was a woman choosing to celebrate another year of life by investing in herself, embracing an entirely new experience, and taking the first steps toward something she genuinely wants to pursue.

And THAT is something worth celebrating!
🎉🧜🏼‍♀️🎉

𝒀𝒐𝒖 𝒌𝒏𝒐𝒘… 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆’𝒔 𝒔𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒂𝒃𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒈𝒓𝒐𝒘𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒖𝒑 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒘𝒆’𝒗𝒆 𝒂𝒍𝒘𝒂𝒚𝒔 𝒇𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒅 𝒂 𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒕𝒍𝒆 𝒃𝒂𝒄𝒌𝒘𝒂𝒓𝒅𝒔. When we’re little, we dream BIG. We believe in possibilities without questioning whether they’re realistic. We imagine ourselves becoming anything and everything our hearts can dream up. 🫧🩵🫧

But somewhere along the way, as we become BIG… 𝙬𝙚 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙩 𝙙𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙩𝙡𝙚.

We trade imagination for practicality. Possibility for responsibility. And sometimes, without even realizing it, we begin convincing ourselves that certain dreams belong to childhood rather than the people we’ve grown into. But who decided that growing older meant we had to stop believing in extraordinary things? Who decided that being an adult meant the magic had to end? 𝑴𝒂𝒚𝒃𝒆 𝒈𝒓𝒐𝒘𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒖𝒑 𝒘𝒂𝒔 𝒏𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝒔𝒖𝒑𝒑𝒐𝒔𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒐 𝒎𝒆𝒂𝒏 𝒈𝒓𝒐𝒘𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒐𝒇 𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒅𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒎𝒔. 𝑴𝒂𝒚𝒃𝒆 𝒊𝒕 𝒘𝒂𝒔 𝒔𝒖𝒑𝒑𝒐𝒔𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒐 𝒎𝒆𝒂𝒏 𝒇𝒊𝒏𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒚 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒄𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒂𝒈𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒑𝒖𝒓𝒔𝒖𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒎. 🫧🪎🫧

And that’s part of what made Saturday so monumental. Our very first student didn’t just celebrate another birthday. She gave herself permission to experience something extraordinary, learn something new, and explore a world that so many people assume belongs only to childhood imagination. Throughout her experience, she was introduced to the foundations of mermaiding, learning to work with specialized equipment, develop proper techniques, and begin understanding the skills and responsibility behind becoming a mermaid. But what makes this particular experience even more meaningful is that 𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒋𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒏𝒆𝒚 𝒅𝒐𝒆𝒔𝒏’𝒕 𝒆𝒏𝒅 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝑻𝒓𝒚 𝑴𝒆𝒓𝒎𝒂𝒊𝒅.

In fact… she’s already looking ahead to her next adventure! Our very first student is now preparing to take the next step by pursuing her 𝑺𝑺𝑰 𝑴𝒆𝒓𝒎𝒂𝒊𝒅 𝑪𝒆𝒓𝒕𝒊𝒇𝒊𝒄𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 through an upcoming SSI Mermaid course! From experiencing mermaiding for the first time to setting her sights on becoming a certified mermaid… what an incredible way to begin another trip around the sun!

And for us at 𝑬𝒏𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝑫𝒆𝒑𝒕𝒉𝒔, that is exactly the kind of opportunity we hoped to create when we started building this business. Not simply an experience that lasts a few hours, but one that can introduce someone to an entirely new passion, inspire continued learning, and remind them that 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙞𝙨 𝙣𝙤 𝙚𝙭𝙥𝙞𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙙𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝙤𝙣 𝙙𝙞𝙨𝙘𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙮’𝙧𝙚 𝙘𝙖𝙥𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚 𝙤𝙛.

𝑺𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒕𝒊𝒎𝒆𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒈𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒔𝒕 𝒎𝒆𝒂𝒔𝒖𝒓𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝒂𝒏 𝒆𝒙𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝒊𝒔𝒏’𝒕 𝒉𝒐𝒘 𝒎𝒂𝒏𝒚 𝒑𝒆𝒐𝒑𝒍𝒆 𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒊𝒄𝒊𝒑𝒂𝒕𝒆… 𝒊𝒕’𝒔 𝒘𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒆𝒙𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝒊𝒏𝒔𝒑𝒊𝒓𝒆𝒔 𝒔𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒅𝒐 𝒏𝒆𝒙𝒕.
🫧🧜🏼‍♀️🫧🧜🏿‍♂️🫧🧜🏾‍♀️🫧🧜🏼🫧🧜🏼‍♀️

To our very first student, thank you for trusting 𝑬𝒏𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝑫𝒆𝒑𝒕𝒉𝒔 with such a special birthday celebration and allowing us to be part of the beginning of your mermaid journey. We are incredibly excited to see where your dedication and enthusiasm take you next! And to everyone who has supported us in bringing professional mermaid education to our community… thank you for helping make moments like this possible. Our first course may be complete, but for one very special birthday mermaid, the adventure is just beginning. 🧜‍♀️🌊

The countdown is almost over, and we’re officially closing registration 𝑻𝑶𝑫𝑨𝒀, 𝑶𝒄𝒕𝒐𝒃𝒆𝒓 15𝒕𝒉 𝒂𝒕 𝒎𝒊𝒅𝒏𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕, for our inaugural SSI Try Mermaid Experience!

Over the past several weeks, we’ve shared the excitement, answered your questions, and introduced you to what makes professional mermaiding so much more than simply wearing a tail. 💜

Now it’s almost time to take everything we’ve been preparing and bring it to life beneath the surface! Whether you’re a young aspiring mermaid/merman or an adult who’s always wondered what it would be like to experience this world for yourself, this is your opportunity to discover something extraordinary.

What started as an idea we’ve been quietly building behind the scenes is getting very close to becoming a reality in the water.

Our inaugural 𝑺𝑺𝑰 𝑻𝒓𝒚 𝑴𝒆𝒓𝒎𝒂𝒊𝒅 𝑬𝒙𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆 is coming to the YMCA of Abilene on October 17th, and with our first student officially registered and beginning her digital coursework, we’re now moving into the final stages of preparing for class. 🌊

For those who have been following along and considering joining us, 𝒓𝒆𝒈𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒘𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒐𝒇𝒇𝒊𝒄𝒊𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒚 𝒄𝒍𝒐𝒔𝒆 𝑻𝒉𝒖𝒓𝒔𝒅𝒂𝒚, 𝑶𝒄𝒕𝒐𝒃𝒆𝒓 15𝒕𝒉.

We currently have 3 𝒐𝒇 𝒐𝒖𝒓 4 𝒔𝒕𝒖𝒅𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒔𝒑𝒐𝒕𝒔 𝒓𝒆𝒎𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈. Because of the small class size, each student will have the opportunity to learn in a more personal environment as we introduce the foundational skills behind mermaiding—with safety, comfort and FUN at the center of the experience. 🧜🏽‍♂️🫧🧜‍♀️

No previous mermaid experience is required. Equipment is provided. 𝒀𝒐𝒖𝒕𝒉 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒂𝒅𝒖𝒍𝒕𝒔 𝒂𝒈𝒆𝒔 6+ 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒘𝒆𝒍𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒆 as long as participant swimming requirements are met.

This first class represents so much more than one afternoon in the pool. It’s the beginning of another piece of the ecosystem we’ve been working to build around Enchanted Depths… and we cannot wait to finally bring it to the surface. 🫧🪎🫧

We’ve told you 𝒘𝒉𝒆𝒏. We’ve told you 𝒘𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆. We’ve answered some of your biggest questions. Now let’s talk about the fun part. 🫧🪎🫧

Try Mermaid isn’t three hours of simply putting on a tail and swimming around a pool. It’s an introduction to the actual skills behind mermaiding for all ages 6+ and is gender neutral. 🧜🏽‍♂️🫧🧜‍♀️

After completing their interactive at home digital course work… students begin by getting comfortable with their equipment and learning how it works before progressing into the water. From there, we’ll work through foundational mermaid skills, body positioning, surface and underwater dolphin kicks, movement and—when appropriate for the individual student—deep-water exits.🫧🧜🏻‍♂️

All under the guidance of an 𝑬𝒏𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝑫𝒆𝒑𝒕𝒉𝒔’ 𝑺𝑺𝑰 𝑴𝒆𝒓𝒎𝒂𝒊𝒅 𝑰𝒏𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒖𝒄𝒕𝒐𝒓, Leann Marie Musick… and 𝑺𝑺𝑰 𝑪𝒆𝒓𝒕𝒊𝒇𝒊𝒆𝒅 𝑨𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒏𝒕… Cassy Jo Kirklin, with safety and comfort coming before looking pretty for the camera. Because there’s a difference between 𝒘𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒂 𝒎𝒆𝒓𝒎𝒂𝒊𝒅 𝒕𝒂𝒊𝒍 and learning how to 𝒎𝒆𝒓𝒎𝒂𝒊𝒅. And yes… we’re going to have a whole lot of fun doing it. 🧜🏾‍♀️🫧

Our inaugural SSI Try Mermaid Experience takes place 𝑶𝒄𝒕𝒐𝒃𝒆𝒓 17𝒕𝒉 𝒂𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆 YMCA of Abilene 𝒊𝒏 𝑨𝒃𝒊𝒍𝒆𝒏𝒆 𝑻𝑿, and registration is currently open for the remaining 3 spots. Never done anything like this before? 𝑮𝒐𝒐𝒅. 𝑻𝒉𝒂𝒕’𝒔 𝒆𝒙𝒂𝒄𝒕𝒍𝒚 𝒘𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝑻𝒓𝒚 𝑴𝒆𝒓𝒎𝒂𝒊𝒅 𝒊𝒔 𝒇𝒐𝒓. 🫧🧜

Since officially opening registration for our 𝒇𝒊𝒓𝒔𝒕 𝑺𝑺𝑰 𝑻𝒓𝒚 𝑴𝒆𝒓𝒎𝒂𝒊𝒅 𝑬𝒙𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆, we’ve realized that many of you have the same questions…

🪎 Do I need to already know how
to mermaid?
🪎 Do I need my own equipment?
🪎 Is this just for kids?
🪎 How strong of a swimmer do I
need to be?
🪎 And what exactly IS a Try
Mermaid Experience?

So, we put the answers in one place.

𝑻𝒓𝒚 𝑴𝒆𝒓𝒎𝒂𝒊𝒅 𝒊𝒔 𝒆𝒙𝒂𝒄𝒕𝒍𝒚 𝒘𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒊𝒕 𝒔𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒅𝒔 𝒍𝒊𝒌𝒆—𝒂𝒏 𝒐𝒑𝒑𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝒕𝒐 𝑻𝑹𝒀 𝒔𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒑𝒍𝒆𝒕𝒆𝒍𝒚 𝒅𝒊𝒇𝒇𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒕.

You don’t need previous mermaid experience. You don’t need to own a tail or monofin. And you certainly don’t need to already know what you’re doing. That’s what your instructor is there for. 🫧🧜‍♀️🫧

This introductory SSI experience gives both youth and adults the opportunity to step into the world of professional mermaiding in a 𝒔𝒂𝒇𝒆, 𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒖𝒄𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆𝒅 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒔𝒖𝒑𝒑𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒆𝒏𝒗𝒊𝒓𝒐𝒏𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 while learning foundational skills under the guidance of an SSI Mermaid Instructor.

And for Enchanted Depths, this is about more than filling one class. We’ve spent quite some time building an ecosystem where someone can discover us at a community event, meet one of our mermaids, experience the magic through an appearance or party, explore Mermaid or Snorkel training, and continue growing with us through future programs and experiences.

SSI Try Mermaid is an introductory mermaid experience designed to take the magic beyond simply wearing a tail. Participants will complete SSI digital learning before joining us in the pool, where they’ll be introduced to mermaid equipment, safety, body positioning, movement, and the fundamentals of swimming with a monofin—all under the guidance of trained SSI Mermaid professionals.
