Tried something new for Round One..... Racing in the rain 😅

The No. 5 started third just as the rain began to fall at Charlotte Motor Speedway. A gear issue on the initial start sent him back to 11th. After a slight delay due to a heavier band of rain, we got back on track and had quite the time figuring out how to navigate the wet track. But Tryson figured it out enough to get around a few cars and cross the line in 7th.

The good news is, the 5 car has some speed and confidence. We feel pretty good about the piece we're bringing to the track tonight for Round Two. Catch the green flag at 6pm ET live on FloRacing.

The Cook Out Summer Shootout is an eight-week grudge match at America's Home for Racing. And it begins tomorrow!⚔️

We'll see you at Charlotte Motor Speedway every Monday and Tuesday through July 28!👊

to our race at Hickory Motor Speedway two weeks ago with the Showdown Series.

Raced with really heavy hearts with the Busch family on our minds that night, but had a lot of fun learning a new track that has so much nostalgia.

He was a competitor and a mentor to so many, but the impact he had on the world of U.S. Legend Cars International and INEX was felt greatly. Truly one of the best to ever do it and will be missed tremendously. Sending our love to Samantha, Brexton, and Lennix and keeping the entire family in our prayers in the days ahead. 🙏🏼

We are saddened and heartbroken to share the news of the passing of Kyle Busch, a two-time Cup champion and one of our sport's greatest and fiercest drivers. He was 41 years old.

We extend our deepest condolences to the Busch family, Richard Childress Racing and the entire motorsports community.
