LT's Outdoors & Mountain Cur Squirrel Dogs

LT's Outdoors & Mountain Cur Squirrel Dogs We raise and train OMCBA dogs for squirrel and c**n. Our dogs are bred to be top notch on tree game Our kennels are headed by LT's Swagger.

We are training some of his offspring right now and they are proving to be smart, early starting pups. Our cur dogs are trained to be combination dogs, meaning we use them on squirrel and c**n. We typically hunt public land. Our terrain varies greatly and includes steep mountains, swamps/bottomland, and a few pasture type settings. Our squirrel hunting starts in September and then we take a break

when October comes because of deer hunting. We start squirrel and c**n hunting again in December and don't stop until the end of January. We can set up some lodging if needed. Call, text, or message me to set up a hunt or if you need more information.

Might be a shooter this fall! This is the first matched set I've ever found that I was 100% sure it's a match. They were laying on top of each other on the backside of a hill in a bed. I figure he was bedded and shook them off together. Cool find!

Message me if you're interested.in our long range setups! Build #1 is out the door with the new owner making 1st shot impacts way beyond what he thought possible! Let us know if we can help.

Piggy from last spring sure didn't like the 7mm PRC! 540 yards and the 175 Gr ELD-X never stopped. Another example of how hard it is to self film!

Long range nanny hunting is one of my favorite times of the year. I get to take videos in a low pressure situation and get good footage. I never hardly take videos when there's a big buck on the line. Its hard to get the deer in the camera frame and then range them and get the scope dialed in to make the shot. Alot of times they move and get out of camera view and I have to readjust. This time of year I like to take other people and show off whatever long range rig I'm shooting that season. Sometimes it all works out and sometimes it doesn't but it's always alot of fun.

This doe was at 725 yards and was shot with a 6.5 prc. The bullet fully penetrated her and she didn't go far (looks like she ran off in video but it was steep). These rigs we've been setting up the last few years have been doing great with factory ammunition. We've been able to take many deer with these rifle, scope, and ammo combinations.

With the added interest in what we've been able to do with these rifle set ups, we have decided to make a few rigs and set them up for long range shooting and offer them up to interested individuals. Going to stick with Bergara as the base model rifles. I've been to the Bergara Experience 2x and have shot every rifle they make and believe in their quality. It will be scoped with a Vortex Viper HD. I've ran 2 of them for almost a year and have been impressed with their repeatable adjustments needed for long range shooting. The scope will be equipped with a custom yardage turret. You'll be able to just range your target, dial in the yardage turret on the scope and shoot! I'm trying to make an affordable rig for us regular folk but still be accurate and dependable enough for the long shots. I know that there are several companies that are already doing this but most people can't or won't pay what they want for those rigs. This is still in the idea phase so it'll be a little while before we have anything ready to go. PM me if you have any questions.
