Your Mustangs should be making you proud with a third place team finish and another single digit above par score. The Mustangs finished 9 over par as a team. I was trying to stay out of the way and didn’t get Carston’s picture today. Carston lead the way with a 73 and a 7th place finish. He was followed by Maddex Reynolds with a 75 and a 13th place finish. Hudson Blake shot 77 for a 16th place finish, and River Guerrero had an off day and shot a 89 and 63rd place. The Mustangs had a second team that finished 27th. They were led by Joseph Diaz and followed by Nic Carnes, Tavin Fehseke and Karson Koch. There were 32 teams in the tournament and 128 golfers. Today was a big moving day up the rankings.

This is later than I thought, I had to do some research. The Mustangs finished tied for first today with Riverdale Ridge. After a tie breaker, the Mustangs were second, with a final score of 218 which is 5 over par for our top three golfers. Looking back at the past tournaments from 2014, this was the lowest team score by 16 strokes. Hudson Blake was 1 under par with a 70 and tied for 3rd, Carston Johnson shot even par 71 and tied for 5th. River Guerrero shot a personal best of 77 and a 14 place finish, Maddex Reynolds rounded out the Mustangs and shot 83 for 32nd place. There were 23 teams and 102 golfers. Great day to be a Mustang!

Today the Mustangs played in a league tournament at Murphy Creek Golf Course in Aurora. The course was in tough shape and so was our health. The Mustangs finished with a team placing of 8th out of 18. Hudson Blake led the way with a 14th place finish out of 71. He was followed by Carston Johnson, Maddex Reynolds, and Tavin Fehseke.

Today the Mustangs competed in the Eaton Invitational. The Mustangs finished middle of the pack with a team finish of 14th out of 28 teams. Carston Johnson led the way with a 75 and a 16th place finish, Hudson Blake followed with a 76 and a 24th place finish. They were followed by River Guerrero and Maddex Reynolds. There were 114 golfers that played today.

Today was a first for Dallas Vermillion and myself, all four golfers shot under 100 and two in the 80s. The Mustangs JV played in the Limon Invitational. The Mustangs placed 3rd as a team out of 17 teams. The Mustangs were led by Joseph Diaz who placed 9th out of 67. He was followed by Tavin Fehseke, Nic Carnes and Tyson Bills.

So I screwed up, I forgot to get a picture of Carston and Hudson. Carston went on a roll and I stayed away. The RainDance National Golf Course showed that it is difficult. There was very good talent at the tournament and the Mustangs finished 13th out of 30 teams. The competition was very good and Carston Johnson shot 4 over 76 and finished in 19th place. Hudson Blake shot 80 and finished 30th. There were 120 golfers total. Maddex Reynolds and River Guerrero finished further down. Now a little down time until next week.

Today was a busy and exciting day for the Mustangs! The JV competed in the Greeley West Invitational which was a good experience for them to experience good golf at a high level. The Mustangs were led by Joseph Diaz, followed by Nic Carnes, Tyson Bills and Karson Koch.
The varsity played in Fredrick’s Invitational at Coyote Creek. This is the best round in my 9 years from a team. This is the first tournament with all 4 golfers scoring in the 70’s. The Mustangs are set for big things. Today the Mustangs were led by Hudson Blake, followed by Maddex Reynolds, Carston Johnson and River Guerrero. Hudson finished in 4th place, Maddex placed 6th, Carston 28th and River 35th out of 122 golfers. The Mustangs 4th out of 25 teams. After our first tournament the Mustangs showed what they are capable of and currently sit 2nd in the state at 4A. Good day to be a Mustang. Don’t want to forget River scoring an albatross, scoring 2 on a par 5 is harder than getting a hole in one.
