I am beyond proud of my dear friend, Dusty!
“My name is Dustin Hall, and I am 42 years old and have always been a big guy (6'5" and 355 lbs.). I want to tell you how Jenn Hordemann helped to change my life. That sounds like a crazy statement, but I assure you it's 100% true. I have been out of shape my entire life and physical activity would cause me huge amounts of stress and anxiety. Every time I would try to lose weight in the past, the gym would always intimidate me to the point of not
being able to go. I knew I had to find a way to incorporate exercise into my new lifestyle to really achieve the health goals I had set. Last year my father passed away due to a heart attack. He meant the world to me and when he passed, it absolutely
crushed me. Two months after he passed, I found myself sitting in my doctor's office for the results of my annual physical. Not a huge surprise but I was facing the same
issues that just had taken my dad. I was 355 lbs and all the boxes were checked -high blood pressure meds, pre-diabetic, terrible cholesterol, fatty liver, and few other life shortening conditions. I knew I had to make a change but wasn't sure where to start. I have known Jenn for quite some time, and I reached out and asked if I could come over and ask "little kid" work out questions. Jenn was so supportive and positive; she answered all my questions and I told her about how I had tried and failed in the past. She didn't bat an eye, she told me that failing in the past meant I wasn't ready. If I was ready now, she told me she would support me and get me to my goals. I signed up to come workout for one hour, twice a week. When I went to Jenn for my first session, I walked in with the mindset of “do the best you can", which at the time was only about 10 minutes before I had nothing left. As I was waiting to get the normal trainer response of you don't want it bad enough" or some version of that, which I had heard so many times before, Jenn told me how proud she was that I showed up and that we did some really great work. She never let me get discouraged and always made sure I felt positive about coming back for our next session. Cont in comments…

When we view working out as something we have to do, such as cleaning, paying bills, etc, we can’t thoroughly enjoy it. If I look at my daily workouts as something that I get to do, my attitude quickly changes and I feel grateful that I have a healthy body to do so.
