🌟 DIRECTOR SPOTLIGHT | CAT RÜESCH 🌟

For Cat Ruesch, Chugiak Soccer Club is much more than a place to coach, it’s a community that has been part of her story for more than 20 years.

Cat grew up playing for CSC as a member of the ’96 Thunder girls team, before continuing her playing career at Darlington and the University of Alabama. Soccer eventually brought her back to where it all began, and today she serves as Executive Director of Chugiak Soccer Club while also coaching the Earthquake U17 Girls.

With seven years of coaching experience, including three years with CISC before joining CSC, Cat holds her C License and CTL-1 and brings a wealth of playing, coaching, and leadership experience to the club. But what matters most to her is the impact soccer can have beyond the field.

Cat believes that “this game is a training ground for life” and hopes her players learn that there are many different paths to becoming who and where they are meant to be. Having experienced firsthand what CSC means to the Chugiak community, she is passionate about creating that same meaningful experience for the next generation of players.

We’re incredibly fortunate to have someone who grew up within this soccer community now helping lead, coach, and shape its future.
