Sandy Sanchez Kidd for Maverick County District Clerk Experience you can trust. Change you deserve.

Tonight I close a chapter in my life that I will never regret. Although this race for Maverick County District Clerk did not end in my favor, my heart is still full because I know the reason I chose to run came from a place of purpose.

I ran because I love what I do. I ran because I believe in serving the people of Maverick County. And I ran because I believed I could make a difference.

While the outcome was not what we hoped for, I am not discouraged by the loss itself. What truly saddened me during this journey was seeing how much division, gossip, and negativity surrounded this election. I will not name names, but I do encourage everyone to be careful about believing everything you read, hear, or see.

Along the way I saw friendships strained and families divided over personal interests, and that was the hardest part of this entire experience. If we are all here for one purpose — to serve the people of Maverick County — then that should always come before politics.

To my community, I want you to know that I see you and I understand why sometimes people feel discouraged about participating in elections. I still believe in our county, and I believe that one day we will get it right.

Most importantly, I trust in God’s plan. I truly believe that when God places something in your heart, it is never wasted. Every step, every conversation, every lesson from this journey had a purpose.

So while this chapter closes, my faith, my love for this community, and my passion for what I do remains unchanged.

Thank you to every single person who supported me, prayed for me, encouraged me, and believed in me. Your kindness and support meant more to me than words can ever express.

God’s plan is always greater than our own, and I trust that this is not the end of my story.

During early voting, I received the same comment several times while out campaigning:

“I bet you or your parents are stressed.”

Honestly, we weren’t.

When you know your purpose, when you are clear on why you chose to run, and when you stay grounded in your faith, peace follows. That’s exactly what carried us through these past two weeks of early voting.

I won’t lie — I did get emotional at the end of this journey. But it wasn’t because of stress. It was because of everything that happens behind the scenes that most people never see. Campaigns can reveal a lot — the good, the challenging, and everything in between.

This experience reminded me why I chose to run in the first place: to focus on real change for the people of Maverick County. It’s easy for some to lose sight of that purpose along the way. For me, the mission has always remained the same.

No matter the outcome, I am proud that we stayed focused, stayed grounded, and stayed true to why we started.

Tomorrow is the final day to vote. I’m asking for your support and would really appreciate it if you could also encourage your friends and family to come out and vote.

Every vote matters. Thank you so much!

Mañana es el último día para votar. Te pido de todo corazón tu apoyo y, si puedes, invita a tus amigos y familia a que también salgan a votar.

Te lo agradecería muchísimo.

This journey has opened my eyes to how politics really works. There’s a lot that people don’t see behind the scenes — and it’s made me even more certain about why I’m doing this.

I’ve spent years working inside the Maverick County District Clerk’s Office. I’ve seen the work that happens behind the scenes — the responsibility, the pressure, the details that most people don’t see until they need our services.
So when I say this experience has been eye-opening, I mean it.

Politics can bring out uncertainty. It can bring out pressure. And sometimes, it brings out sides of people you wouldn’t expect. But working inside this office has taught me something important: leadership isn’t about reacting to noise — it’s about staying steady in purpose.

I didn’t choose to run because I was on the outside looking in. I chose to run because I understand the inside. I know where improvements are needed. I know how decisions affect employees, attorneys, and most importantly, the community we serve.
And that’s exactly why I refuse to get distracted.
Your vote is private. It is your voice. No one is entitled to it.

This is not about popularity. It’s about professionalism. It’s about integrity. It’s about service.

I’m running because I believe our office can be stronger, more efficient, and more responsive to the people of Maverick County.

And that belief hasn’t changed.

I didn’t step into this race for politics — I stepped into it for purpose.

I've been asked again why I chose to run.

I’m not on the outside looking in — I’m on the inside, doing the work every single day. I work at the Maverick County District Clerk’s Office and see firsthand where improvements are needed to better serve our community.

I started from the bottom and worked my way up. I understand this office because I’ve lived it. I know what we do, how we do it, and where we can do better.

The District Clerk’s Office may not be a department everyone thinks about — until they need us. And when they do, they deserve efficiency, professionalism, and leadership that listens.

I’m running to support the staff who do the real work, to make informed decisions based on hands-on experience, and to implement changes in accordance with the Texas Legislature — changes that benefit our attorneys, our employees, and most importantly, the constituents we serve.

This isn’t personal. It’s about progress. It’s about accountability. It’s about service.

That’s why I’m running to be your next Maverick County District Clerk.

Come out and vote — your voice is your vote.

I would truly appreciate your support.

When people ask why I chose to run, I answer with confidence: this was never personal. It was about leadership. It was about accountability. And it was about the change our office needs.

I didn’t step forward to hold a title — I stepped forward to make a difference. For the employees who deserve support and respect. For the attorneys and agencies who rely on us every single day. And most importantly, for the community we are here to serve.

The Maverick County District Clerk's Office doesn’t need a figurehead. It needs a leader with real, hands-on experience — someone who knows the work inside and out and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves.

Strong leadership builds strong teams. I believe in empowering the incredible staff I work alongside, because real success happens when a team is supported, valued, and led with integrity.

I am not running for attention. I am running for progress.

I am ready to lead.
