We need you help

Well Eagle Nest Lake State Park is still closed and no timeline has been given on when it is to open. I have been on the phone the last few days with individuals wanting to know when they can fish, is Eagle Nest open, and why the lake is closed, Literally 100 calls today alone. The lake is the life blood of our community, especially during the Spring and the Summer. Many tourists as well as locals use the lake for recreation. Some use the lake as a food supply as well. All of this brings in tens of thousands of dollars to our Village every month. Without that income, businesses will disappear and the Village of Eagle Nest and our schools will suffer financial ruin. The Chamber needs your help. We do not have a local advocate or lobbyist to assist in our effort. We only have you, the businesses, our valley residents, and perhaps a few tourists. What we need is to make our voices heard. I am listing contact information for individuals who might be able to get our message through to Santa Fe and get Eagle Nest State Park open soon.
