Our Director of Goalkeeping, Danielle Mendez, is the new head coach of Augsburg University women’s soccer. Ten years coaching college soccer, countless keepers developed here at Salvo, and now a program of her own.

We’re excited to have Scott Lashomb continuing to make an impact at Salvo Soccer Club! ⚽

With more than 30 years of coaching experience across club, high school, and collegiate soccer, Scott brings a wealth of knowledge and a proven commitment to player development.
Since joining Salvo in 2023, Scott has coached within our Girls High Performance program, helping players grow technically and tactically while building the confidence and habits needed to compete at higher levels.

His coaching career includes experience with Girls Academy, NPL, and premier-level teams, extensive goalkeeper development, and multiple Minnesota State Tournament appearances—including back-to-back state championship teams at Totino-Grace.

At the heart of Scott’s approach is creating a positive, challenging environment where players can grow as competitors, teammates, and individuals.

We’re proud to have his experience and leadership helping develop the next generation of Salvo players.

Welcome to Salvo Soccer Club, Kizito Mor! 💙💛

This season, Kizito will bring more than 30 years of coaching experience to Salvo as the head coach of our U16 Academy 2 Girls team. His extensive background developing players across the youth, high school, and adult levels makes him an incredible addition to our coaching staff.

Throughout his career, Kizito has coached with Wings Soccer Club/Minnesota Thunder Academy, Lions FC, Edina Soccer Club, and Shakopee Soccer Association, helping players of all ages develop the technical, tactical, and mental skills needed to reach their full potential.

His coaching philosophy emphasizes discovery learning, healthy competition, goal setting, and consistency—creating an environment where players are challenged to think, grow, and become confident decision-makers both on and off the field.

We’re excited to welcome Coach Kizito to the Salvo family and can’t wait to see the impact he’ll have on our U16 Academy 2 Girls and throughout the club.

Please join us in welcoming Lydia Ruppert to the Salvo Soccer Club coaching staff! 💙⚽

Lydia brings an outstanding background in collegiate, club, high school, futsal, and pre-professional soccer, along with a passion for developing players both on and off the field.
Currently serving as an Assistant Coach and Director of Operations Assistant at the University of St. Thomas, Lydia has also coached with Minnesota Aurora FC, Capital City Futsal, and across multiple youth and high school programs. Her experience as both a coach and player gives her a unique perspective as she helps athletes build confidence, sharpen their technical and tactical skills, and reach their full potential.
We’re excited to have Lydia as part of the Salvo family and can’t wait to see the impact she’ll make on our players and club. Welcome to Salvo! 💙
