Gravity Baseball Baseball Training in the Twin Cities My name is Cass Kreitlow and I am the founder and owner of Gravity Baseball Training. If it feels good, it is good.

Gravity Baseball Training simplifies baseball mechanics and training methods. We produce smart and strong baseball players by teaching each individual to be aware of what makes them athletic. Gravity isn't a style, or a philosophy. If we had a bias it’d be the Up in Balance. We simply teach how the body naturally feels when it produces force.

Separating the shoulders vertically loads the back leg and puts the arm in a position to react to the lead arm and back leg.

Comment if you want to have a little back-and-forth. I’ll be honest I am not convinced that you should try to rotate, but I’m really curious of people‘s experience that has led them to believe that you should try to rotate.

If you want an explosive landing, elevate your front side (hip & shoulder) so they can drop together.

Catch Pass Throw. Glove Feeds the Hand. The glove Shoulder circles over not under.

Max is demonstrating a level of command that is rare at any age—let alone 7th grade.
He’s currently landing his curveball for strikes 65–70% of the time, a benchmark many high school and college pitchers never reach.

During this session, we focused on creating authentic hip separation and learning to anticipate the moment when that stored tension drives the back knee and hip forward at landing. That single concept reshaped how he moved down the mound, allowing his arm to operate with noticeably less strain and noticeably more efficiency.

These fundamentals often go unrecognized in baseball, yet they determine how well the entire motion works.
If an athlete wants clean, powerful internal rotation of the back leg and hip, they must understand how separation and front-leg resistance work together to create it.

Max grasped the idea immediately—and the improvement in his motion reflected that understanding.

Tee could be closer, swing could be better, but I had fun with this feel!

Most people say pitching starts from the back side.
They’ll talk about how the back leg loads, how the hip drives, how the elbow spirals, or how the arm unravels from external to internal rotation.

And yes — all of that happens.
But it doesn’t start the motion.

The back side only reacts to what the front side does with the weight.

When the glove arm, front leg, and trunk lift and move out, they carry the weight of the body forward.
That forward shift forces the back hip to hinge, the knee to flex, and the foot to hold pressure against the ground.

You didn’t “load your back leg.”
You moved your weight — and the back side loaded because it had no other choice.

The front side gives direction.
The back side builds and releases force.

One moves the weight.
The other reacts to it.

The front starts the motion.
The back finishes it.
That’s the kinetic order. That’s cause and effect.

People mistake pronation for internal rotation of the throwing shoulder. Does pronation occur in pitching? Yes. Should you place effort in it? No. The wrist knees and elbows are example of joints that serve to react to the body’s movement. The wrist is moved by the fingers, knees from the hips, elbows from the shoulder. Pronation is a bad solution to your pitches. Want to dive deeper? DM me.
