𝑴𝑰𝑹𝑬𝑲 𝑾𝑨𝑺 𝑨𝑳𝑳 𝑰𝑵.

When I think of Beckman Catholic soccer, one of the very first names that comes to mind is Mirek.

Long before many of today’s players ever stepped onto the field, or where even born, he was helping build what Beckman soccer would become. I had the privilege of being there during those early years and watching the passion, time, and commitment he poured into this program.

Twenty-one years of coaching isn’t just a number. It’s generations of athletes, countless practices, bus rides, victories, tough losses, friendships, and lessons that reached far beyond the game.

As one chapter comes to a close, we’re reminded that the greatest legacies aren’t measured by wins alone—they’re measured by the people they impact and the foundation they leave behind.

Thank you, Mirek, for everything you’ve given to Beckman Catholic soccer. The standard you helped build will continue, and your influence will always be part of what it means to wear the green and gold.

After 21 years as Beckman Catholic boys’ head soccer coach, Mirek Laskowski is calling it quits.

💚 𝑨𝑳𝑳 𝑰𝑵.

Today, another piece of the vision becomes reality.

Construction begins this week on our new turf field and track — an investment in our athletes, our school, and future generations of Beckman Catholic students.

The memories made on the grass field will always be part of our story, but we’re excited for what’s ahead. New opportunities. New experiences. New chapters.

We’re grateful for everyone who helped make this possible and can’t wait to see our athletes compete in a facility that reflects the pride, tradition, and excellence of Beckman Catholic.

The future is bright. ☀️⚽️🏃‍♀️

Join us for three days of soccer, skill development, games, and fun with the Beckman Catholic Girls Soccer program!

💚 Our Varsity and JV players will be helping lead camp throughout the week, giving campers the opportunity to learn from and interact with their favorite BC Girls Soccer players.

You’ll want the shirt! We have some special plans for our camp girls during the upcoming soccer season, and camp shirts will be part of the fun.

👉 Registering early also helps us plan coaches, camp groups, equipment, and activities to make camp the best experience possible for everyone.

It came down to a series of what-ifs?

𝐘𝐄𝐀𝐑 𝐎𝐍𝐄. 𝐅𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐋𝐀𝐈𝐃. ⚽️💚✝️

It’s taken a couple of days to find the words.

Friday didn’t end the way we had dreamed. After making the hour-and-a-half trip Thursday night, waiting through a weather delay, driving home, and making the same trip again Friday morning, our season came to an end against a very talented Aplington-Parkersburg team.

The conditions weren’t ideal, and we found ourselves playing their game instead of ours, but one thing never changed…

𝑻𝒉𝒆𝒔𝒆 𝒈𝒊𝒓𝒍𝒔 𝒏𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝒒𝒖𝒊𝒕.

I couldn’t be more proud of this team and everything they accomplished this season. They bought into a new style of play, a culture built on faith, teamwork, and our 𝑨𝑳𝑳 𝑰𝑵 mentality. They trusted each other, they trusted the process, and they played for something bigger than themselves.

This wasn’t a season carried by one player. Every match, someone new stepped up. We celebrated first varsity goals that turned into second and third goals. We battled through injuries, adapted when things didn’t go our way, and asked a freshman goalkeeper to step into some of the toughest matches of the season. She answered the call, just like so many others did.

Friday also marked the end of an incredible career for our lone senior, 𝑨𝒗𝒂 𝑩𝒖𝒓𝒌𝒍𝒆. Ava, thank you for your leadership, your heart, and for helping build the foundation of what this program is becoming. Your impact will be felt for years to come.

As I told the girls after the game, unfortunately we lose an amazing senior… but fortunately, we get everyone else back.

We were young.
We grew together.
We believed together.

And after the tears were wiped away, they were already talking about next season. They were talking about getting back to work, getting stronger, improving their skills, and finishing what we started.

Over the next several days, I’ll be sharing and celebrating the players, moments, memories, and milestones that made this season so special.

We didn’t make history… yet.

But we built something that believes it can.

And that’s where history starts.
