Well, Camp 1 is officially in the books! 🤠🐴

Today we wrapped up the week with an outdoor trail obstacle course, fun games, and award presentations. Unfortunately, our hayride got rained out, but we made sure to make up for it with plenty of fun!

I am so proud of every single camper and how much they improved throughout the week. Watching their confidence grow each day was incredible. The horses were showing up and showing out for us all week long, and they helped make this camp such a success.

Thank you to all of our campers and parents for trusting us with your kiddos this week. We had an absolute blast!

A reminder: if your child is still talking about camp next week (and we hope they are!), we do offer regular riding lessons and would love to have them continue learning with us. We will return to our regular lesson schedule next week before gearing up for Camp 2 the following week.

🐴 NORTH FORK HORSE CAMP 1 DAY 1 🧲

We learned safety, grooming techniques, how to saddle a horse, how to put a bridle on, proper riding technique, how to make them go, woah, and steering!

A LOT of information was shared today, so more riding and fun in the coming days!

It was hot, and the horses are wore plum out, but we will see everyone bright and early tomorrow!

🚨 CAMP STARTS TOMORROW! 🚨

We are so excited to see everyone!

A few reminders before you arrive:

✅ Wear long pants and closed-toe shoes.
✅ Bring sunscreen, sunglasses, and anything else your child may need.
✅ Camp dues are due at drop-off. We accept cash, check, and Venmo.
✅ A waiver must be signed before you leave. Please do not forget!

We will provide water, snacks, and popsicles throughout the morning. Please do not pack a lunch, as we will not have time for a lunch break.

📍 Pick-up: 11:30 AM

🐴🌟 WHAT WILL CAMP LOOK LIKE? 🌟🐴

We've had several people ask what our camps will consist of, so here's a quick breakdown!

📅 **Day 1:** Safety first! Campers will learn barn safety, horse safety, the parts of tack, how to tack up a horse, how to properly lead a horse, feeding and watering basics, and meet all of the animals around the farm.

📅 **Day 2:** Time to ride! Campers will begin learning how to walk a horse while focusing on proper riding position, balance, and steering.

📅 **Day 3:** Building confidence! Riders will begin learning how to trot while continuing to work on steering, control, and proper riding techniques.

📅 **Day 4:** Adventure day! We'll head outside the arena and work through fun obstacles to help riders build confidence and strengthen their horsemanship skills.

📅 **Day 5:** Celebration day! Campers will enjoy a ride and finish the week with a fun hayride around the farm!

🎨 Throughout the week, campers will also participate in crafts and activities. All crafts are designed to be keepsakes they can take home and enjoy for years to come.

🤠 Our 3-day camps will cover these same skills and activities, just condensed into three fun-filled days!

We can't wait to spend the summer making memories, building confidence, and sharing our love of horses with your kids! 🐎❤️

🐴 We’re back from our trail riding adventures and busy getting everything ready for camp season at North Fork! ☀️🤠

As summer gets underway, don't forget that we will be offering morning riding lessons throughout the summer. Our schedule may be a little hectic due to camp weeks, so lessons will only be held during the weeks we do NOT have camp. If you ever have questions about scheduling, all you have to do is ask—we'll be happy to help and answer questions as they come up!

📅 Camp Dates:
Camp 1 - June 8-12
Camp 2 - June 22-26
Camp 3 - July 13-15

We will also NOT have lessons July 6-10.

❗ All camps are currently FULL. Please do not submit additional camp registrations at this time.

🐎 We still have lesson spots available, so if you're interested in summer lessons, contact us soon to reserve your spot!

💰 If you are registered for camp and have not turned in your deposit yet, please get that to us as soon as possible.

👀 Keep an eye on our page this week as we begin posting camp itineraries and important information. Campers can look forward to crafts, horseback riding, spa days with the horses, games, activities, and so much more!
