The last plex birthday party wrapped up this weekend and there is nothing to schedule or plan. The only thing left to do is thank everyone who made the Plex a magical place.
None of this would have been possible without Ed Presley. You provided and supported a safe place for everyone to come play. Thank you for all the resources and support you put into the special needs community and the youth of Dyer County. Thank you for allowing me to run it and be such a huge part of the Plex.
Thank you to New Life Church. Being the roommate with every teenager in town is not an easy thing. You guys never complained and were always so gracious to everyone in the building. We wish you nothing but growth and success in the future.
Thank you to the volleyball girls, moms, and fans❤️ Getting that many 2nd-8th grade girls together under one roof, at one time, playing a sport, could have been a nightmare. Instead it was the biggest night of girlhood you could ask for. No fighting, no drama, your opponent is a girl down no worries one of our team will play with you. Everyone cheered when the 2nd grader finally got it over the net, it didn’t matter what team she was on. Thank you to everyone that made Monday’s such a special night. I will definitely miss seeing you all.
Thank you to the special needs community for embracing and believing in a bunch of teenagers to throw events for your family members. We had no idea what we were doing 🤣 but tried to make sure everyone in attendance had the best time. It was a pleasure getting to know you and I can guarantee the Plex staff definitely took more from every event than we gave.
Thank you to the party moms and birthday party kiddos. You guys were easy to work with and treated my staff kindly. We had a few kiddos that have had their last 4 birthday parties at the Plex. Thank you for including the Plex in your celebration and traditions.
Thank you to the open court players. You had no reason to listen to me or a staff of teenagers but you did. You respected me, the staff, and the facility and I just wanted you to know it was definitely noticed and very appreciated.
Thank you to my husband Jimmy Roberson and son Brady Roberson. You guys had as many meals interrupted as I did and plans put on hold to run by the Plex. Thank you for supporting me these past few years when our schedules ran on Plex time.
To the plex staff. You guys ran the Plex and won small business of the year. Every dodgeball thrown, every conversation at the counter, every special needs event you guys threw, every time you coached a volleyball team you made a difference. You guys have made me furious but also kept me laughing, and made me proud. I have loved every college move in, mixer, graduation, homecoming, vacation picture I have been sent. I expect you to keep them coming. Thank you for learning how to run a Sportsplex with me. It has been the best time getting to know and working with you ❤️❤️ I can’t wait to see what amazing things you will accomplish. Look at everything you have already done.
