To help all customers with their bowling needs. We supply bowlers with bowling balls, bags, shoes and other various accessories. Mark Kofoid has been in the bowling industry for 40 years and has owned the Pro Shop for 24 years. Mark is also a member of the Greater Calumet USBC Hall of Fame and was inducted in 2006.

It's a sad post for bowlers of Chicagoland and NWI ....USBC Hall of Famer Gordy Baer passed away this past July in Arizo...

It's a sad post for bowlers of Chicagoland and NWI ....

USBC Hall of Famer Gordy Baer passed away this past July in Arizona. He was also in the Chicago HOF, Illinois HOF, Greater Calumet HOF and Indiana HOF.

I had the pleasure of competing against him, bowling as a teammate, drilling a few balls for him and being upgraded to the old guys table at our annual HOF banquet to sit with him and his team !!!

Gordy was voted Amateur Bowler of the World in 1980 😲
Look at his career stats for Nationals. 200 average for 56 years .... that's insane 😳
He joined the exclusive 100,000 pin club at USBC Nationals. Rest in Piece my old friend 🙏🙏🙏 You were an Icon to alot of us 🎳

Unfortunately Kofoid's Pro Shop will remain closed today as I'm still dealing with the storm damage at my residence. A roofing crew has been hustling this morning, but there's still alot to do inside and outside. I need to be home for them to access the upstairs of my place. This last month has seen the shop closed more than ever before in 27 years. And now the situation gets worse..... I have my annual Trade Show trip scheduled for next week. I go to this event annually to see the newest products in the bowling industry. Attend important seminars and place orders to get stocked up for the looming start of the 2026-27 season. Had I any idea of what we all just experienced, I would have went to an earlier show. I will be back Monday the 24th at 2-8pm and regular hours will resume. Your patience and understanding are so greatly appreciated thru all that has happened.

With the impending thunderstorms headed our way, and no roof on my building, I unfortunately will not be able to open the Pro Shop today. They are coming sometime today for damage assessments.

I'm thankful to be unharmed after yesterday, but very sorry for not being there for my customers. I'm trying to get things cleaned up at home so that I can return to work tomorrow !!! Will update page in the morning

Myself and my neighbors survived what I assume was a tornado hitting our building.The roof is completely torn off. Water leaking from everywhere.

But we are all alive !!!
GOD IS GREAT 🙏❤️🙏

I will update the Pro Shop status tomorrow morning.
Praying that everyone is ok

Out of an abundance of caution, the Pro Shop will remain closed today.

I'm waiting on lab results from Friday. The doctor has not yet cleared me to return to work.
