Midwest Training and Ice Center's Figure Skating Program For more information, send us a message or call us at 219-558-8811. We hope to see you on the ice!

Our figure skating program at Midwest Training and Ice Center offers beginner and advanced classes for ice skaters. In addition to our regular Learn to Skate classes, we also offer a daytime Homeschool/Preschool class and an early morning Power Class for our advanced freestyle skaters. Throughout the year, Midwest Figure Skating hosts various skating events such as our annual ice show, Christmas Exhibition & holiday-themed open skates.

Day 5 ✅

We ended the weekend on a high note! Lyra had a great performance and placed 4th in Aspire 4 Group D! Aside from one fall on her final jump, she skated overall very well. This was her final competition in Aspire 4, she's moving up to Excel Pre-Pre next month! Congratulations Lyra!

After her medal ceremony, we had fun taking photos outside and in the main performance rink! That's a wrap at the 2026 Excel National Final & Festival. Until next time! 👋

Day 4 ✅

Lucille had an awesome performance to Mission Impossible and earned 7th place! She skated with confidence and great expression! We're very proud of you Lucille, great job! She finished off her day on the ice with a competitor's party. 🎉

Charlotte's day started bright and early with her group exhibition featuring members of Team USA. Then we took some photos in the performance rink's 'Kiss & Cry' area. After cheering on Lucille, both girls took a photo with Mirai Nagasu!

Lyra's festival / camp experience overlapped with Lucille's competition. Lyra had fun and enjoyed chatting with Gracie Gold. Later on she attended her competitor's party and her first practice on competition ice. Lyra will compete Sunday afternoon. SK8 GR8! 🙌

Day 3 ✅

Not a personal best, but a valiant effort! We're so proud of your perseverance this season Charlotte! Wishing you lots of healing and all the best next season! She finished the event .03 away from a top 10 finish! Tomorrow morning, she will skate in a group exhibition with Team USA skaters!

Today was Lucille's 2nd practice, and her first time skating in the competition rink. Lucille is ready to bring it tomorrow afternoon! Good luck Lucille, SK8 GR8! 🙌

Lyra is checked in and all set! Tomorrow she'll have her camp and her first official practice tomorrow evening. She competes Sunday afternoon.

We made it! Practices are going well for Charlotte & Lucille. Charlotte had her camp yesterday. Lyra is now in Boston too and we'll be cheering on Charlotte as she competes later this afternoon. SK8 GR8! ⛸💕✨
