🏈 FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS — DYFC STYLE! 🏈

Our undefeated DYFC Flag Football team is getting the chance to do something special this Friday night — play under the lights at Dwight Township High School! 💚🤍

DYFC and DTHS have come together to put on a special “Friday Night Lights” edition of Flag Football for our youngest football players and cheerleaders. These kids have worked hard all season, and now they get their own night on the high school field!

📅 Friday, September 4th
📍 Dwight Township High School Football Field
🚪 Gates Open: 6:30 PM
🏈 Game Starts: 7:00 PM
⏱️ One-hour game
🎟️ NO ENTRY FEE!

The DTHS Trojans will be on the road Friday night taking on Deer Creek-Mackinaw. If you're able to make the trip, get out there and support our high school Trojans!

But if you can't travel Friday night, we've got some pretty exciting football happening right here at home.

Come fill the stands, make some noise, and show your support for the Littlest Trojans — your very own UNDEFEATED DYFC Flag Football team!

And don't forget about our Flag Cheerleaders bringing the energy to the sidelines! 📣

This is their chance to experience Friday Night Lights, and we'd love to give them a crowd they'll remember.

What a day in Momence! 🏈💚

Our Trojans hit the road today, and our kids SHOWED UP and SHOWED OUT!

From Flag all the way through Seniors, we saw our athletes compete, battle, support one another, and represent Dwight the way we know they can.

We walked away with wins at three of our four levels, but more importantly, we walked away proud of every single athlete who put on the green and white today.

🏈 Juniors: Dwight 13 – Momence 34
🏈 Seniors: Dwight 71 – Momence 39

Wins are fun, and there was plenty to celebrate today, but this program has always been about more than a scoreboard. It's about watching these kids work, improve, compete for one another, and continue growing as a team.

A huge thank you to our coaches, families, volunteers, and everyone who made the trip to Momence to support our athletes.

You could hear the Trojan Family loud and clear!

What a day for Trojan Nation! 🏈💚

Going into today, we knew our circumstances were less than ideal. With our normal home field unavailable, we had to adjust, get creative, and turn a big open piece of grass into a football field for the day.

Some said it couldn't be done. Many had their doubts. Some of us closest to the situation were unsure of what was to come.

But you know what? It worked.

What could have easily been a frustrating situation turned into an exciting day of football and cheer. The atmosphere was incredible, our athletes showed up ready to compete, our coaches adapted to a completely different setup, and our families packed the sidelines and brought the energy all day long.

But none of today happens without the people behind the scenes.

To every volunteer who worked concessions, sold 50/50 tickets, helped with parking, cooked food, moved equipment, set things up, cleaned things up, or simply stepped in wherever something needed done — THANK YOU.

To our coaches, parents, families, fans, football players and cheerleaders — thank you for being patient, flexible, positive, and making the best of the situation.

Today was a pretty good example of what this program is supposed to be about. Things aren't always going to go according to plan. Sometimes you adjust, work together, and find a way to make it happen.
And Trojan Nation did exactly that today. 💚🤍

Trojan Nation — important update for this Sunday! 🏈📣

As many of you know, we are dealing with a unique situation regarding our home field this weekend. After meeting with the school and working through what we can and cannot do, we have a plan in place that will allow us to play football at home this Sunday!

We understand this is not ideal, but we are going to remain positive and make the best out of the hand we are dealt. At the end of the day, our kids still get to take the field, our cheerleaders still get to cheer them on, and Trojan Nation still gets to spend Sunday together.

We’re all in this together.

A few important things to know before Sunday:

🪑 There will be no bleachers. Please bring your own chairs/blankets for seating.

📣 Fans and cheerleaders will be on the north side of the field. Football players and coaches will be on the south side.

🚗 Parking will be available at both Dwight Township High School and Dwight Common School.

⛔ Trojan Drive will be closed to vehicle traffic between the softball field area and the high school parking lot exit. Please plan accordingly.

🚙 Street parking is available on Karen Drive, but please do not walk through or between neighboring yards to access the field. We want to be respectful of our neighbors and their property.

🌭 Concessions will still be available!

🚻 Restrooms will be available near both ends of the field.

We ask everyone to be patient with us, respect the designated areas, and help us make the day run as smoothly as possible.

Is it our normal setup? No.

Is it going to stop us from having a great day of Trojan football and cheer? Absolutely not.

Bring your chairs, bring your Trojan green, and bring the energy. We’ll handle the rest.

What a wet and wild day of Trojan football! 🏈💚

With rain all week and into this morning, the field turned to mud, and our kids had an absolute blast! Muddy uniforms, big plays, hard hits, and smiles all around — football in its purest form.

Great job to all of our teams today and thank you to Herscher for hosting!

Way to go, Trojan Nation! 💚🏈
