Seems like FOR-EV-ER! I am just not good at keeping up on Social Media.

I have been working on a project within the Pink Gravel Fund in hopes to get it rolling before year end. Hosting a for little community events. And now, gathering and gearing up for Gravel Worlds in Lincoln. Seems like it has been a long time since I have been gravel bike event focused.

Jon and I were sad not to be able to make the final Haddam Hounds Hundy. Looks like Todd had a super turn out. I have had fun being a mobile SAG for that in past years. I will always remember it as the first time I met Jackie. 😉 I think she may remember that one too. It was a doozy of a route that year. But then most years are. . . Love ya Todd!

I hope to sooner than later to share some updates on the Pink Gravel Fund. As well as when this years Match Day video will be released and radio time will be.

Oh. . . Don't forget, October 3, 2026 the 8th annual Just a Chill Ride-50k :) JUST A CHILL RIDE-50K (It's Grrr-8t!)

The last two weekends have been all gravel! Fun times had making CP for the final Solstice Gravel Grinder and not the final Rock Ridge Gravel. My few pics of the two weekends.

Odds are good we will have a few cokes to hand out at our stop in Filly for the Solstice Gravel Grinder.

Who is registered to ride and what distance?

We will see riders of the Fiddy and Hundy.

❤️. I am lucky to meet such travelers and share Pink Gravel with those from afar. 😀

Sometimes things happen for a reason. Held multi Family Yard sale today at The Event Center - TEC . For me, it is not about the number that attends or money made, it is the social aspect. In between sales we sat around a table and talked, shared funny stories on each other, bought items from each other and laughed.

Then, someone on a road bike -definitely not a casual rider - stops in front looking around, probablydeciding whether to come in. Being I tend to talk to anyone on a bike, and I go out to let him know he can come in for A/C, bathroom and we just started serving Sloppy Joe's. I ask him where he is riding in from, expecting to hear him say Manhattan. Junction City or CG. Denis tells me he is riding from New York to LA. I ask if this is part of an event, challenge, or fundraiser. Dennis tells me he is on vacation. 🤪

I feel fortunate that the garage sales were today just for that one cyclist. If you take the time to talk to people, it is amazing who you meet and where they are from. Even here in little ol' Dwight.

I wanted to take a picture with him, but forgot till he was leaving. Headed out toward Salina area.

This is a tough one folks. I know both Kent and Natalie from participation with the Emporia Community Foundation and Match Days. They both came by the Pink Gravel tent at Unbound just a couple weeks ago. I feel so fortunate that Kent and Natalie took time to stop by to say hello.

This is an event warm and dear to me. Think I have every event day or volunteer shirt.

If you have some free time Saturday, June 20th, please sign up to help this event go out with a Bang!

The Solstice Gravel Grinder is just weeks away!! We are looking for a few more volunteers, so if you have friends or family coming to cheer you on, have them sign up to help! They'll get the FINAL event T-shirt, a free meal from Vintage Venue, warm fuzzies for helping this rad event, and high fives all around.
Sign up here: https://www.solsticegravel.com/volunteer-mojave

One of the reasons this event is so awesome, is the volunteers that help fuel and motivate the riders, help set up and tear down, sweep the course and pick up folks that need it, plan and pack and transport everything needed. We couldn't do it without a little help from our friends!❤️ Thank you!
