Again, I have been bad about posting here. I usually keep updates rolling in our group. I'm sorry about that. We are down to the end of the season. We have had 2 blown motors this season. OUCH! Amanda has had a decent rebound since her motor expired in week 1. We faced some handling issues through the hot months, but hopefully that is remedied for her final race of the season in a few weeks. I lost the motor in the Modified, so I will be jumping back in the VA Racer for the October 12th season finale. Hey, who knows. Maybe I will update here before next season. 🤦‍♂️

Back in the shop getting the go fast toys ready for the new season. Hopefully we will be testing soon. This year we will have Amanda back in her #51 Pepsi Grand Stock while Jerad and John take turns running the Modified and VA Racer. We are excited to have Amanda back in a car again for 2024. While it was great having her transition to spotting for her Dad and Grandfather, it just isn't the same without her in a car.
We do not have a set schedule in place yet for the Modified and VA Racer program. They will likely be part-time operations as our focus will be on Amanda and her car. We will likely be looking for spotting help on nights that Jerad is running Modified and possibly VA Racer depending on the current spotters schedule.
If anyone is interested in a sponsorship program on our cars, please feel free to message us for details.
See everyone at the track!

Race recap for 9-17-22.
Had a great night for the #51 Grand Stock and Amanda Satterly.
We unloaded and rolled off on old tires for her practice session. She ran a very consistent session setting a 19.299 for her best lap time. She reported that the car had very good balance as she posted a time setting her 6th out of the 7 in practice 1. We decided to skip session 2 and work on getting ready for the qualifying run.
We lined up to roll off 2nd in qualifying. I was really hoping to run a little later to allow the shade to cover a little more of the track, but we took what we ended up with. Amanda rolled off for her green-white-checker run and completely amazed us all. On lap 1 she pulled a lap of 18.754 (might have the last 2 digits wrong) and then backed it up on lap 2 with an 18.665. This is her fastest ever lap on record in a car! It was an outstanding effort by her. It set us p7 out of 8 for the starting grid, and only .562 second off of the pole position.
The feature rolled off for 30 laps. Not exactly the start we were wanting, but she kept the field in sight and dug hard chasing down the battle between the 22 and 47 just ahead of her. She said the car had a decent balance throughout most of the race, but following a late caution she lost forward bite on corner exit. She said she could gain on the other cars entering the corner, but couldn't stay hooked up to exit the corner causing her to lose what she gained. She ran very consistent times through the entire race and actually had 2 laps that she was faster than the leader as the track started to slow down. She came home 6th out of 8 cars on the lead lap. She also now sits tied for 5th in the points. Very proud of her effort, feedback and excitement. Every week she pushes herself a bit harder and it shows both on and off the track. We have 1 race left for the #51 this season on October 8th. We want to thank our sponsors and crew for everything they do to help us out.

I have neglected this page for awhile. Sorry everyone. I have just been doing my updates on our group instead. So here we are with 2 races left on the 2022 season for Amanda and 1 race left for our Super Street and Super Truck drivers. Tonight Amanda will be in her #51 Pepsi Grand Stock for 30 laps at Langley Speedway. She will be race #4 in the lineup and is chasing positions 6 and 5 for points. Last race was chaos from the drop of the green and she brought us home in 4th place jumping to 7th in the points. She will have to fight hard to keep the number 47 behind us in points and gain on the 8 and 18. Good luck girl!
Thanks to all of our sponsors and crew for the support every week. Let's go racing!!!

Ok. I better get to this recap thing. July 2, 2022 recap (work schedule sucks so it takes time). Here we go. Race weekend for the 11 of Wesley Newell , 72 of Angelo Stellon and the 54 of Robbie Morris. We will start with practices.
The 54 modified missed first practice arriving to the track late so we just had the 2 super street cars to work with. Both cars looked pretty decent in practice 1, but we saw room for improvement in both cars. The 11 had a funky roll to it through the corner and very loose on entry and exit. The 72 looked like he was trying his hand at dirt track racing exiting 4 and had a little slide on exit of 2. We brought both cars back to the pit area and made a few adjustments before practice 2 started.
Practice 2 saw the 54 car sitting in the pits on jack stands while tires were being handled so he missed his 2nd practice. The 11 had the same funky body roll going on, but reported that the car wasn't as loose as before although he was now having issues with the car staying in 2nd gear. It kept trying to jump to 3rd on its own. The 72 car continued his wild corner exits, but did manage to pick up a little more speed in round 2 and said he was pretty happy with the car. When the cars returned to the pit area we decided to check and adjust the sway bar on the 11 when we noticed the end link had snapped which was most likely the cause of our body roll issue as well as the loose entry. We made a fast run to the car builders shop so his son could fix the part and we rushed back getting him ready just in time for qualifying. The 72 was an easier fix with a simple adjustment to the air pressures and we were ready to qualify.
First up to qualify were the super streets and both drivers put down very solid times. Not as fast as we wanted for the 11, but with the practices being as they were he didn't want to press too hard and have an issue. The 72 had a much better handle on the track with the air pressure change following his slippery practice sessions. The 72 had a 19.486 and the 11 had a 19.527 setting the 13th and 14th for the start of race 1. The 54 modified rolled out for his 10 lap scuff session being the first time on track for the day. He ran several laps saying the motor wasn't running as it should and pulled in to line up for qualifying. He ran a 17.770 for his qualifying run placing him 12th on the grid for his 50 lap feature.
In between qualifying and feature time the crew ran to the infield to help diagnose and work on Robbies modified. It appeared to have worked and was proven successful when he got to run a few shakedown laps right before Super Street feature 1. In the meantime we were stuck in the infield and got to watch our friend Cheyenne Strandberg pick up her first ever win in rhe HRKC Pro Wing Champ race which had an amazing finish with the top 3 or 4 finishers crossing the stripe so close they could literally touch each other.
Now to our feature races. Super Street race 1 went pretty good for both cars. They managed traffic well and kept good pace with the field finishing on the lead lap. Wesley finished 10th and Angelo 11th. Both cars rolled back out to the pits and started preparing for race 2.
The 50 lap modified race fell in between the super street races so part of the crew returned to pit road (and I went back to the spotter stand) while the rest continued working on the 11 and 72. The race started and the car seemed to be running very good. Robbie was able to keep pace with those around him and made a pass for position as the handling started to fall off. The car became a bit of a handful sliding through the corners in both ends of the track. On lap 33 the cars were slowed for a caution just after the leaders put theb54 car a lap down. This gave Robbie the free pass and as he made his way around the track to rejoin the field he noticed his water temp climbing. To be safe and not hurt the motor he decided to park the car early placing him in 13th place. Still some learning to be done with the new motor, but we have the driver that can figure it out and keep getting better each week.
Super street race 2 for the night was a bit more eventful. The 11 car suffered a transmission issue in the pits before race 2. This caused him to be vary late to the grid, but he did manage to make it with a transmission that had park and 5 forward gears on a 3 speed automatic. Tricky huh??? So away we go starting 10th with the 11 and 11th with the 72. Both drivers handled themselves great throughout the race avoiding other drivers mishaps as they did in race 1. The 11 car had the transmission issue throughout the race and basically it just decided what gear it wanted to be in on its own. At some point it decided 3rd gear was its choice and it hurt the rpm of the car very bad making it a struggle to keep pace and fight off advances from the cars behind him. In the end we placed 9th with the 11 and 10th with the 72.
The 11 made great gains in the points this week. If my figures are correct he should have taken over the top of the battle for rookie of the year and moved himself to 10th in points. The 72 I believe has jumped from 19th to 14th in the points. These numbers SHOULD be available to confirm by mid week. Both drivers had very solid nights. It's great to see them grow and improve each weekend. And aside from a little nose damage they both came home in one piece again. Great job by both of you!

Next weekend will be Amanda Satterly in her 51 Grand Stock and Kevin Rickman in his Super Truck. As always we thank our crew for all of their hard work and dedication to making each of these cars better every time we hit the track! John F Satterly, Kevin, Alice, David Newell, Amanda, Jessica Satterly, Lisa McPadden Satterly, Wesley, Robbie, Courtney Ranger, Aaron Mcmillan, Albert Martin, Chad Martin, Angelo, and whoever I forgot. I'm tired. See everyone next time!

Race recap 2 for Amanda. Started the day off running first practice. It's new for us to do this season by her choice. Allows us to try stuff in practice 2 if we need to. She came off the track very happy with her car and said there was no need to change anything. Qualifying time rolled around and her first lap was a 19.5. I told her to pick it up some for the 2nd lap amd she delivered by knocking it down 6 tenths giving us our first 18.9 of the year. We were thrilled by that alone. Qualifying ended with her being interviewed on pit lane (video attached) and we were onto race mode. We decided to leave the car alone for the 40 lap feature and rolled off 6th out of 6. Early on trouble struck the 18 car bringing her to the pits and putting her laps down. Shortly after the 11 car broke as well. So now we are p4 out of the 4 remaining cars. The 2nd and 3rd place cars tangled up and caused our 2nd caution of the night. This placed Amanda in 2md place behind the 17 car of Tim Wilson. Now for some history lesson. Tim raced many years ago against Amandas grandfather at VMS, so seeing her lined up directly behind him was one of the coolest things I have ever seen. The race restarts and after a couple laps of running 2nd she got passed and landed back in 4th. A few laps later the same 2 tangle (almost catching Amanda) and the caution flies for the 3rd time placing Amanda back in 2nd. In the end we came home p4 of 6. But as a team we are so excited about the drive by Amanda, and as a father I can't begi6to express how proud I am of her! As always we have to thank our crew. You guys are all amazing! Good nights or bad we all dig in and get through it. And thanks to the sponsors that trust us to represent their businesses every week on and off the track. We will miss the next race on May 21st, but look forward to our return at the following race. Amanda will be out that week for a trip with her high school band. Next week we will be back to the track with our Super Street and Super Truck entries for their 3rd weekend! See you there!
