It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our friend, brother, teammate, Robbie Dudzisz.
Robbie was a proud member of the Wildcats Wheelchair Rugby Team for 13 years, and his loss leaves an immeasurable hole in our hearts. He was not only a phenomenal athlete and fierce competitor, but the true definition of a team player, mentor, and friend.
Robbie had a way of making everyone around him feel like they belonged. He encouraged his teammates, supported those coming up behind him, and gave so much of himself to the sport and the people he loved. He was truly the heart of our program.
Beyond the Wildcats, Robbie also proudly participated in the inaugural low point league with aspirations of joining the National Low point team, as well as key player in our two national championships.
His impact reached far beyond the court. He touched the lives of teammates, coaches, opponents, friends, and so many others who had the privilege of knowing him. His determination, kindness, and spirit will remain a part of the Wildcats family forever.
Robbie, thank you for every game, every practice, every laugh, every lesson, and every moment you shared with us. You will never be forgotten, and your place on our team—and in our hearts—will always remain.
Rest peacefully, Robbie. Once a Wildcat, always a Wildcat.
Our deepest condolences and love go out to Robbie’s family, friends, and everyone who was fortunate enough to call him their teammate and friend.
#2. Forever a Wildcat.
