The idea of a neighborhood studio on Ninth Street started as the personal goal of one Duke Alum and manifested as the result of a close knit and supportive community in Durham and the Triangle, as a whole. This Sunday, June 28th, join Yoga Off East and YOE teacher Shauna in supporting the LGBTQ Center of Durham! Proceeds from Shauna’s 4:30 PM Stretch + Restore class will be donated to the LGBTQ Center and we encourage those who can’t make it to the class to consider making a donation. 💙 Betsi has been teaching yoga since 2012, and we’ve been lucky to have her at Yoga Off East since fall of 2025. Students describe her teaching style as breath-centered, authentic, and functional (focusing on how a pose feels ad functions in your body, not how it looks).

💙 When she’s not teaching, Betsi shares mindfulness meditation with students and staff at Duke and across the Durham area. She also loves to paint, draw, and spend time with her husband, two boys & their dog and two cats.

✨ You can find Betsi every Monday afternoon at 4:30 PM for a wonderful Mellow Flow. ✨

💙 Olivia has been teaching yoga for eight years, and has been teaching at Yoga Off East for two years. Students describe Olvia’s teaching style as foundational, gentle, and mobility-focused.

💙 When she’s not teaching, Oivia is probably baking, strength training, or enjoying a walk around Durham. 🐂 🏙️

Join Jai every Monday at 6:30 AM for Sunrise Flow on the Lawn (link in bio to sign up!). 🌧️ This class is rain or shine— we will move into the studio if it’s raining, but in nicer weather, we will flow on the lawn at American To***co Campus!
