Durham Youth Summer Hoops League The Durham Youth Summer Hoops League was initiated in response to the City of Durham’s Parks and Recreation Departments budget constraints.

During the summer months, our youth become disconnected from educational opportunities and the DYSHL is committed to make sure that all Triangle families and communities have access to quality, sports-based activities for their youth... The league had been sponsored and run exclusively by DPR in the past, but with the current economic climate and the need to cut back, youth summer basketball would

be discontinued. And as a Durham native, an advocate for sports development and realizing the cultural significance summer basketball has among Durham’s youth and communities, I could not see such a valued summer program no longer available to our families.

This summer we will play most games at Holton Career and Resource Center (101 North Driver Street) on Saturday mornings from 9am-3pm.  Game dates include 6/22, 6/29, 7/13 and 7/20...with Consolation Tournament on 7/27.  Coaches you get a chance to save money and play against quality teams right here...
