With our college students all back at school, we are looking for an additional feeder! We need coverage for Thursday through Sunday dinner shifts. Shifts start between 3:30 and 4 and take approximately two hours. Must have horse experience and a drivers license. Please reach out if you’re interested in some or all of these shifts!

We finished out finals season strong yesterday with our first time at Rhode Island finals. Aubrey piloted Mo to a 4th place finish in her first 2’ class and won the horsemanship challenge! Cece had a very consistent first round course as well, finishing just outside the ribbons in a competitive class of 30, and finished 9th in the horsemanship! Every single one of our students who took a horsemanship exam this summer placed in one, and I couldn’t be more proud of that! It’s been a whirlwind of an August. Now onto IEA season starting next weekend!

We had an incredible weekend at CHSA finals this past weekend! Ashley and Mo won the 2’6” hunter derby on Saturday, leading by a whole 13 points on very challenging and technical courses. Kate rode Memphis to 5th place in her first 2’ course on Friday, at her first finals in 15 years. I’m so proud of both horse/rider pairs and how confidently they handled a new venue and rode thoughtfully through their courses. Now onto Rhode Island Medal Finals 🔜

And that’s a wrap on CHJA finals 2026! I’m so proud of all of our rider’s medal trips. Ashley finished out her last 3’ finals with Mo as a junior and rode him beautifully while he jumped his heart out! Maddie took Nemo to his first ever finals and gave him so much confidence today, continuing to expose him to bigger environments and further his education, and looking beautiful while doing it! Eliza locked in and finished 12th in the children’s on ABF’s Scofield! We owe a huge thank you to Erin for sharing this wonderful horse with us and working with us to get this pairing up and running on such short notice! Cece absolutely crushed it in her medal on Memphis. They were so handy and sharp, it was beautiful to watch! Then we finished out with Aubrey who, in her very first show with Mo and first finals ever, placed 12th with a beautiful jumping round! And with it all coming back to horsemanship, Maddie and Eliza finished 8th and 9th out of 47 on the horsemanship test! It was a stellar week with the best community that I could ask for! Congratulations everyone!

We’ve had an extremely busy summer! I’m going to try to post some photos and videos of our summer so far! Back in June a few of us adults took four horses to a schooling dressage show at Mystic! We had so much fun and it was nice to have exact show times for a change 😅 We left with great feedback on what to work on at home, and great ribbons!

We had a fun day at Mystic’s schooling show on Sunday! Cece got in great practice for finals with great ribbons. Allison and Demi made a huge improvement from last dressage show, finishing 3rd and 4th in training 1 and 2. Keeley had a great last show on Jack before she moves back to Montana, getting to show off the amount of progress they’ve made since their first show together back in 2022. Now onto CHJA finals next week!

Our celebration of the school horse yesterday was a great success! Thank you to all of my clients who planned and executed this wonderful event, and thank you to everyone for coming! We had a great turnout!

It’s time to sign up for IEA! IEA is a competitive team sport that is open to 4th-12th grade riders. It is such a blast! We have openings for new riders to join our team from both in the barn and out of the barn! Please reach out to Morgan if you’d like to sign up. Entries open for the first show next week, so it is go time! Here’s to another great season!

A few of our clients wanted to do something extra special to celebrate our school horses! All are welcome Saturday, August 1st from 2-5 pm for pony rides, photos with the horses, crafts and more! All proceeds will go towards school horse medical care!

Our sweet Cat crossed the rainbow bridge this morning 🌈 She went peacefully with a belly full of grass in the beautiful sunshine after spending the early hours of the morning with her best friends. She has been the ultimate grandma of the farm for the past 4 years, taking care of our littles- humans and horses alike. She was the best kind of school horse. She was forgiving and kind and patient. I am honored to have been trusted with her final years. I know that we will all miss her greatly and I am so thankful for all she did for our community. Rest peacefully sweet Cat ❤️
