It’s time to meet our third MLBx team, the Toros Bravos de Durham!
First up is Team Captain, José Reyes!
A four-time MLB All-Star and 2011 National League batting champion, Reyes spent 16 seasons with the New York Mets, Miami Marlins, Toronto Blue Jays and Colorado Rockies. He finished his career with 2,138 hits, 145 home runs and 517 stolen bases, ranking among the most dynamic shortstops of his generation.
Next up is AUSL Star, Megan Grant!
The former UCLA Bruin and current Portland Cascade star rewrote the NCAA record book in 2026, hitting a Division I-record 42 home runs while batting .455 with 91 RBIs. A three-time NFCA All-American, Grant also finished her UCLA career as the program’s all-time home run leader with 91 career homers
Last but not least is College Star, Davin Whitaker!
The ECU Pirate put together a monster 2026 season, hitting .323 with 10 home runs, 45 RBIs and a .982 OPS across 62 games. Whitaker also recorded 63 hits, 52 runs and 46 extra-base hits, making him one of the most dangerous bats coming out of the Triangle for MLBx.
