Founded by Mia Lehrer and Chloe Rockow in the Fall of 2009, Duke Quidditch brings the fictional sport from Harry Potter to life. Under the leadership of past presidents Danni Riggin and Arvind Kumar, Duke Quidditch has blossomed from a ragtag group of half a dozen individuals into an organized, financially stable, 30+ member team that

is competitive on the local, regional, and national stages. Duke Quidditch consistently ranks as one of the best teams in the Carolinas and has had a winning record in each of its previous seasons. It is currently a member of the Carolinas Quidditch Conference, the Mid-Atlantic Region, and United States Quidditch.

With the 2020-2021 school year just around the corner, Duke Quidditch is excited to welcome the team back to Duke! Despite the changes in community guidelines due to COVID-19, we are looking forward to seeing our fellow quid members together again virtually and following social distancing protocols. Even throughout the long break, the quid community has stayed connected and supportive of one another in preparation for the year to come. 1. Senior Be**er Barbara Groh played on the Whatabludger community team in the Texas Secede League. 2. Senior Be**ers Devon Shusterman and Trent Lau played for the Carolina Diamondbacks community team. 3. Duke finished an incredible season at the national championship in Round Rock, TX! We ended with a 2-2 record. A loss to , and a win against Arizona State on Saturday. A loss to Raptor Quidditch, and a final win against to wrap up the season. Congratulations to everyone on the team for a great season!
