DAMA swimmers include both recreational and competitive swimmers, new and experienced swimmers, triathletes, and fitness swimmers of all levels who are interested in working out with a group. DAMA offers tailored workouts for a wide range of abilities. Our flexible format and strong social interaction help create an upbeat, motivational setting for practice, in addition to strong bonds and a sense of community among team members. We participate in pool competitions, open water swims, triathlons, and more.

The new clear bag policy implemented by Durham Parks & Rec (without any stakeholder input) puts undo barriers on DAMA swimmers and the broader swimming community and does not keep us safe. The DAMA board has created a petition to Durham city leaders to end this policy. Please sign the petition and help us end this burdensome policy!
