Join our team as an Event Security personnel and help ensure the safety and enjoyment of attendees at UNC athletic events. This position requires you to work all seven UNC football games and be available for other sporting events throughout the year, including UNC men's and women's basketball, soccer, lacrosse, baseball, NCAA, and ACC events, NCHSAA State Championships, and theater events at Memorial Hall.
Responsibilities:
Provide a visible security presence at the venue, deterring potential disruptive behavior
Monitor access points and assist with crowd management, ensuring a smooth flow of attendees.
Enforce event policies and procedures to maintain a safe and secure environment for all.
Conduct bag checks and security screenings as necessary.
Respond promptly and appropriately to any incidents, emergencies, or disturbances during events.
Collaborate with event staff and local authorities to address any security concerns.
Requirements:
Availability to work a majority of UNC’s seven home football games during the season.
Flexibility to work at various other sporting events, including men's and women's basketball, soccer, lacrosse, baseball, NCAA, and ACC events, NCHSAA State Championships, and theater events at Memorial Hall.
Excellent observation and situational awareness skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
Physical fitness and the ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Must be at least 21 years old.
Previous security or law enforcement experience is a plus.
