✝️ Merry Christmas!!! 🛐

Wrestling and Christianity share the same classroom.

Suffering.

Both ask you to show up when it would be easier to quit.
Both strip away ego.
Both expose who you really are under pressure.

On the mat, there is no hiding.
In faith, there is no pretending.

Wrestling humbles you fast.
So does Christianity.

You learn that strength alone is not enough.
Effort without discipline fails.
Talent without character collapses.

Wrestling teaches submission of the ego.
Christianity teaches submission of the self.

Not weakness.
Alignment.

The daily grind of wrestling mirrors faith.

Early mornings.
Repetition.
Obedience to process.
Trust when results are not immediate.

You lose matches you trained hard for.
You face seasons where prayers feel unanswered.

Both demand belief without guarantees.

And both reward those who endure.

Wrestling teaches you to suffer with purpose.
Christianity teaches you why that suffering matters.

Together, they forge something rare.

A competitor who is fierce but grounded.
Disciplined but humble.
Confident without arrogance.

The mat builds the body.
Faith builds the foundation.

When those two meet, the wrestler is hard to break.

Schedule:
Our Coaches will stretch and warm-up our wrestlers as a team before the start of each session.

SATURDAY DECEMBER 6, 2025

NOVICE WRESTLERS- please arrive tomorrow at 8:00- 8:15 am to warm up.

SESSION 1 - Tots and all Novice 6U, 8U, 10U and 12U - WILL START AT 9:00AM- WRESTLE TO CONCLUSION.

SESSION 2 - Open 8U and 10U - WILL START AT 2PM- WRESTLE TO CONCLUSION

Athletes wrestling in this session will need to be there around 1- 1:15 pm to warm up.

SUNDAY DECEMBER 7, 2025

SESSION 1- OPEN 12U and 15U/ GIRLS 6U, 8U, 10U, 12U and 15U - WILL START NO EARLIER THAN 9AM. WRESTLE TO CONCLUSION.

Athletes wrestling in this session will need to be there around 8-8:15 am to warm up.

Duncan Ring of Fire is the tournament we are planning on attending this week. There are a couple others but Duncan always has a good tournament with good kids and is always run pretty well. Plus they have some really cool awards.
