WOW! 🤯
We were so excited to bring back the poker walk this year and holy moly, Durant was ready for it!

We had 65 participants and were able to raise over $600 to donate to the fire dept! 🔥

None of that is possible without the support of the community, our volunteers, and our amazing sponsors! Can’t wait to top that next year! ♥️♣️♦️♠️

We’re just one week away from the 2026 Firemen’s Festival! Don’t forget to join us on Saturday August 15th for the Poker Walk!

♣️Registration starts at 7:30am at Jaycee Park!

♥️The route is about 1.3 miles and includes 4 stops to pick up a playing card and you will get the final card back at the park. Player with the best poker hand, WINS!

♠️Kids are welcome to join! They only need to register/pay if they want to “play” poker but feel free to bring a stroller along for the walk!

♦️All participants will be entered in a raffle for prizes donated by Heinsite Fitness, Fire Nutrition, Rise and Grind, and the Durant Fire Dept 🚒

We’re bringing back the poker walk to the Fireman Festival this year! ♥️♣️♦️♠️

The poker walk is a nice stroll around town with 5 different stops. Each stop, you choose a random playing card from a deck. You will turn in your cards when you get back to the park and the best poker hand wins!

2 of the stops will be at Fire Nutrition - Durant and Rise & Grind Durant, IA! They will be handing out samples of their amazing treats!

$10 per person to play! Cash prizes for top 3 poker hands and we’re working on some raffles prizes too! Registration is same day starting at 7:30am at Jaycee Park!
