Hi there! I'm Sierra, your Pilates Instructor and Studio Owner.
I was first introduced to Pilates 15 years ago (2006) after a bad car accident left my spine, neck, and head out of alignment, which created lumbar and cervical spine issues, and triggered chronic headaches. I stumbled upon some old Pilates videos in my Mom's closet, and was immediately hooked! After finding relief and regaining my strength, I fell in love with the method and attended countless workshops, an extended-study course, and deepened my personal practice. I eventually became certified 9 years ago (2012) through Peak Pilates as a Classical Mat Pilates Instructor.
I love the classical matwork because it fuses the simplicity of history and healing as the original sequence of movements created by Joseph Pilates in the early 1900s. My teaching style reflects that, bringing a holistic approach to your functional movement training to create a customized routine that restores your body's energy, deepening the balance and strength for your every day activities.
In addition to the Pilates Method, my unique approach emphasizes our most foundational body part – the FEET. As a certified Barefoot Activation Specialist, I cue and train biomechanics and functional movement patterning from the ground up. This ignites the foot to core connection, increasing proper alignment, foot function, and optimal performance. Our sessions always start with a variety of techniques to activate the feet first, waking up all the little nerve endings that myofascially connect to your deep pelvic floor muscles.

You'll ultimately notice the way I teach my sessions is quite different than a typical group exercise or contemporary Pilates class, as I attract people with an active lifestyle who honor their body, and see the value in customized functional movement training as injury prevention, movement rehabilitation, and optimal performance.
