I have watched several of the new Christmas movies. In each there is a point when someone explains the meaning of Christmas. They say that Christmas is a feeling, a time of love and joy. They do not mention that it is a celebration of the birth of the Christ. That God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life. Jesus was born of the Holy Spirit. So He was born without sin. He live 33 years without committing a sin. He was beaten and mocked, then hung on a cross. He was crucified and died to take on the sins of the world. So if we believe that He is the son of God, that He died and rose again. If we repent of our sins we will have eternal life. Let us always remember that the meaning of Christmas is that God loved us so much that he sent us a savior. That the love of the season is a reflection of Gods love to us. The birth of the savior gives us joy and hope for the future. I wish you all a very merry Christmas.
