Hello! We are the Maryland Club Table Tennis from the University of Maryland, College Park. We are in need of funds to travel to Round-Rock, Austin, Texas during mid-April 2023 to compete in the NCTTA National Championship. It is a huge goal for us to attend Nationals. Last year, we won Regionals and were able to compete at Nationals. We are hopeful to attend Nationals again this year. Anything you can provide will be a huge help to send to our team! Competitive Team Practice will be every Tuesday starting tomorrow. We will reserve 3 tables for the competitive team and the other 3 tables for open play.

Hi everyone, starting tomorrow, we will begin having training sessions every Monday and Tuesday for the first 45 minutes of practice. Players of all levels can come. We will be going over some basic strokes and how to practice them. For more advanced players, we can help expand on these strokes to improve their gameplay. The rest of practice will be open play so be sure to stay and see what improvement you have made against others.

In addition, we will be starting Thursday Night League this Thursday again. Similar to last semester, individuals will be placed into different groups based on their ratings.

For all new and old members, make sure you guys are signed up for the team on IMLeagues. If you havent, please sign up at the Club Sports Office located on level 0 (room 0201) of the Eppley recreation center. It is open from 10AM to 5:30PM on weekdays. Afterwards, complete the Concussion Quiz and the Personal Information Form on IMLeagues (if you have questions, ask while you are at the Club Sports Office). You will not be able to join club activities until you do so.

Mid Atlantic Regional champions!

Congratulations to Nathan Hsu, Rui Xu, John Hsu, Darwin Ma, and Brian Shen for facing tough opponents like Pillar College in the finals and coming out on top.

After going 2-2 in singles against Pillar, Nathan and Rui cinched a doubles match in game 5 to win the tournament, where they beat powerhouses Kaden Xu and Cheng Yau Jiang with the final game ending 11-9! The match can be viewed through the youtube stream: https://youtu.be/QIV2zq8wXbc?t=31722

Individually, Nathan tied for 3rd and 4th place, and Rui placed 2nd in the singles division.
