ALERT!! Please chime in and let me know if you brought a Black Hole basket to the pop-up. Bryan Craig had two Black Hole Pros and now he doesn't. They have been swapped out. Let's get together and get this resolved please!!! I would hate for this to be the one blemish on an otherwise beautiful event.

THANK YOU!! For everyone who came out yesterday for the course maiden voyage. It was a complete success, and from what observed and was told, everyone had a great time and loved playing the course. In all we had about 50 players on the course throughout the day despite the gloomy weather.

Thanks to EVERYONE who brought out a basket and/or loaned us a basket to use. We were able to play all 18 holes, all day long! And thanks to everyone who helped with the setup and takedown. Here are some photos of the day. If you have any, please post them!

REMEMBER! TOMORROW BYOB Pop-up Course. We have the following players confirmed to bring or lend a basket or two. So far we are up to 13 baskets. Come guys! 5 More! Chime in and let's do 18 holes!

EDIT: Looks like we will have 18 baskets if everyone commits who promised. So, casual in the morning to get familiar with the course and then dubs after lunch around 1:00PM!!

BYOB (BASKET) POP-UP COURSE DAY THIS SATURDAY 02/05/2022!!!

9AM until Whenever!

EDIT: Looks like we are getting 18 holes!! So, Casual in the morning to get familiar with the course and Random Dubs after lunch at 1:00PM!!

PLEASE!! If you have a basket, bring it and join in the fun! The more baskets we have the better chance we have of playing all 18 holes. If we have more than we need, perfect! Practice baskets! Let me know in the comments below if you can help out and bring a basket or two or three or four or....

The course will be open like any other course. We will do random draw dubs and casual rounds all day! Those who want to participate in dubs can flip with the best and have a ball. Those who only want to play a round with their buddies! Have at it!

IMPORTANT! I will be taking photos and videos of the action all day and I encourage everyone else to do the same! I will then take my footage and some of yours that you post to this page and use that to create a promo video to present to the city and the citizens of Dunedin to garner their support. That way when it comes time to vote for what to do with the park later this year, we stand a much better chance of making the course permanent.

How about a BYOB (bring your own basket) 2 round doubles and/or casual round day with the proposed design? If we can 18 portable baskets out there we could make a day of it? The best day with tournaments and holidays considered is December 11th. It's a Saturday. Who's in?

Progress! I received and email response from the City of Dunedin. This will be a long process, but I feel a process worth pursuing. In the meantime, I plan on holding sporadic popup events there. We will play as many holes as we have baskets show up. Stay tuned to be alerted when they are scheduled.

In the meantime, here is the response.

"Thank you very much for your email and your work on this option. So you know how these decisions will be made, the City of Dunedin will first go through a comprehensive Community Input process in 2022. This input will allow all interested parties to express their vision for the property. A disc golf course will certainly be one of the options. Subsequently, a master plan will be developed based on this feedback. Please know that no decisions regarding the future development and master plan for Stirling Park will be made until that process has been completed.

Thank you again and feel free to contact me if you have any further questions." - City of Dunedin.
