It Happened Again
A person or persons have been shooting at things that shouldn't be shot at. The target support posts on the 100 yard range have been shot up and some are beyond repair. The red painted (no shoot) eco-blocks at the 50 yard range have shot up and may have to be replaced prematurely. The 25 yard range target backer was shot up within one day after being replaced.
All of this costs you money in the form of fewer range services (porta potties, garbage pickup, etc.) and increased membership fees.
If the vandalism and intentional damage keeps up, we may have to close the rifle range until we can find, train, certify and schedule Range Safety Officiers (RSOs) to monitor the rifle deck. This may an extreme measure, but the club has seen a sharp rise in these instances this year. When seeing this type of damage to club property, you also wonder how safe these people are and if you should be around them or not.
Remember that shotguns are to be used in the shotgun pit to the left of the rifle deck only.
