Renewing Members,

If you fail to renew by 12/17/2025 at 5:00 PM, you will not be a member in 2026. Your last opportunity to renew is for us to receive your renewal on 12/17/2025 at 5:00 PM.

There will be zero tolerance in 2026 to renew your membership once renewals close. Within hours of membership renewal closure, new members will fill the membership cap of 650.

Please understand there has been plenty of time from October 1st to December 17th to renew and contact us if you had any difficulty.

At this point online renewal is your best bet. Mail in renewals may not make it into our PO Box by December 17th at 05:00 PM.

ATTENTION: Renewals are open on our website. Renewals will be active until December 17. We then take new membership applications on that night. The new member application will be available in December.

If you do not renew online, and choose to mail your application. It must be received by that date. If it does not for any reason, it never happened. In person renewals will be accepted at the October membership meeting.

Please do not forget to renew, otherwise you will need to apply as a new member next December.

It Happened Again

A person or persons have been shooting at things that shouldn't be shot at. The target support posts on the 100 yard range have been shot up and some are beyond repair. The red painted (no shoot) eco-blocks at the 50 yard range have shot up and may have to be replaced prematurely. The 25 yard range target backer was shot up within one day after being replaced.

All of this costs you money in the form of fewer range services (porta potties, garbage pickup, etc.) and increased membership fees.

If the vandalism and intentional damage keeps up, we may have to close the rifle range until we can find, train, certify and schedule Range Safety Officiers (RSOs) to monitor the rifle deck. This may an extreme measure, but the club has seen a sharp rise in these instances this year. When seeing this type of damage to club property, you also wonder how safe these people are and if you should be around them or not.

Remember that shotguns are to be used in the shotgun pit to the left of the rifle deck only.

Reminder: Range is closed this weeekend. June 6,7,8 for the GSSF Match.

05/06/2025

Hello Everyone,

Please remember that May 17th is Range clean up day. We will start about 8 am. The Range will be closed that day during the clean up. We could use as many people as we can get to assist. With 650 members we should have a good turn out. If you have a w**d eater please bring it, a couple trucks to haul dead black berries to the burn pile would be appreciated also. Let me know If you have questions.

On June 7 and 8, the GSSF match will be held at the club. We are still looking for volunteers to assist with range safety and other duties. Please let me know if you are interested by emailing the range officer or PM me here. G***k often has good swag for volunteers. The range will be closed on June 6,7,8 for set up and competition.

Thanks everyone,

Chris Osterhoudt

This picture was taken well after dark at the range last night. The SOP’s state the range is open during daylight hours. No one should be on the range property after dark unless authorized by the board, and it could very easily cost you your key. We have seen an increase of people on the range after dark. Please make you stop shooting and clean up with enough time to leave timely. Thank.
