Ken Murphree will be teaching the classroom instruction required to obtain a license to carry a handgun (Oklahoma Self Defense Act). The class will be taught at Murf's Shooting Range on February 21, 2026.The shooting requirement for the class can be completed any time before or after Saturday during normal business hours.
Classroom instruction will begin at 9:00 am Saturday morning February 21st. Class lasts approximately 3 1/2 hours. The State requires 50 rounds to be fired to complete the course. The fee for the course allows you a FULL day of range time. You can bring ALL of your shotguns and rifles and pistols and play as long as you want to shoot and have FUN!
The Range is located across the street north of Murf's Guns at 3330 N 81 Highway in Duncan. Please call the Range at 580-786-5111 if you plan to attend. You can just show up the day of class if you forget to call.
Students will need 50 rounds of ammunition to shoot. For those who don't own a handgun the shooting range will provide a handgun and target to use during the course.
There is no paperwork required to take the class.
