Today, we celebrate one of the finest young men to wear the Orange and Black.
Congratulations to Malcolm "LB" Brown on being selected to play in the North-South All-Star Football Game and for representing South Charleston Black Eagles Football one final time.
During his lone season under Head Coach Donnie Mays, LB etched his name into South Charleston football history. He became the first Black Eagle to rush for over 1,000 yards in a season since 2015, (Chrisjamar Perkins and Kentre Grier). His hard work, toughness, and commitment helped restore pride and excitement to our football program.
While statistics and accomplishments are impressive, what means even more is the foundation LB helped lay for the future of South Charleston Football. He embraced the challenge, led by example, and showed our younger players what it means to compete with passion, discipline, and pride.
It is only fitting that his final high school football game will be played right here at South Charleston High School as the host of the North-South All-Star Game. After creating so many memories on this field, LB will have one more opportunity to represent his school, his community, and the Black Eagle family.
Thank you, LB, for everything you have done for our program. We are proud of you, grateful for your contributions, and excited to watch you compete one more time in front of the South Charleston faithful.
Once a Black Eagle, Always a Black Eagle.
