Message in The Nest:

A lot of people quit in life when they’re tired. But tired isn’t a signal to stop — it’s a sign you’re close. Think about the end of a race: that final stretch where your body wants to shut down, where everything hurts. That’s not the time to pull back. That’s when you lean in.

The same is true in life. Most people give up on their goals, their dreams, their purpose — not because they weren’t capable, but because they got tired right before the breakthrough.

Tired doesn’t mean weak. Tired doesn’t mean finished. Tired means you’ve been grinding, and you’re getting close. Stop looking at being tired as something negative. Start seeing it as a privilege — a sign that you’re chasing something meaningful.

In track and field — just like in life — the way you finish when you’re tired determines the quality of your success. And here at The Nest, we don’t stop when we’re tired. We push, we finish, we arrive.

Track and field isn’t just a sport. It’s training for life.

🚨 MEET RECAP 🚨

Our squad showed OUT at Stone University in what was essentially our season opener after weather delays at our last meet. And we made it count. 🔥

🔥 School records shattered
🔥 Provisional marks hit
🔥 PRs dropping left and right

Special shoutout to our 400m & 200m groups, long jump, and discus for making some serious noise! 💥

We’re just getting started. Next up, our relays hit the track—and you can expect a top-20 D2 performance incoming. Stay locked in. 🏆💪

Late night message in The Nest

Hey Team,

I want to take a moment to talk about what keeps me motivated. Late at night, I find myself watching videos of people living their dreams—succeeding against all odds. It’s that raw joy they experience that fires me up. Like when Usain Bolt crossed the finish line to break the 100m record, or that no-name singer on ‘America’s Got Talent’ who puts everything on the line, hits every note, and wins over the crowd.

But nothing hits me harder than the moments I’ve captured of you all—PRs, big meet days, that pure joy when you see your hard work pay off. Watching those moments reminds me of why we do this. It’s about chasing that feeling. That moment when it all comes together and makes every drop of sweat, every early morning, and every sacrifice worth it.

There’s something about the broken man or woman—someone who has hit rock bottom, been through adversity, and realized they have nothing to lose and everything to gain. That kind of person dedicates and sacrifices everything, even when they have nothing, and somehow achieves greatness. That fire, that drive, is what inspires me. It’s what reminds me that greatness is possible, no matter the obstacles. And I see that same potential in each of you. Let’s keep building toward those moments together.

Inspired by Skylar Hudnall
