The Northland Clays Classic is almost here—and we need a few more volunteers who are good at high-fives, organized chaos and helping people have an unforgettable day.

You don’t need to know anything about shooting sports. We need friendly people to welcome teams, help everything run smoothly, point guests in the right direction and bring the energy!

Old Vermilion Trail is looking for Pheasant Hunting Guides with trained upland bird dogs for the 2026 fall pheasant hunting season.

Guides have the option of working mornings and/or afternoons. Hunts occur Tuesday thru Sunday (closed Monday). Morning hunt hours are 7:30 am to 11:30 am, and the afternoon hunt hours are 11:45 am to 4:00 pm. A minimum availability of 3 to 4 hunts per week is preferred. Guides must be dependable and punctual.

September 19th start date running thru Thanksgiving or as weather allows.

Rate of pay is $140 per guided hunt plus tips.

This is an outstanding opportunity for you and your dog to gain valuable field experience. Our guides and their dogs will encounter more birds in just two months than most dogs would see in a lifetime.

Summer League Party & Season Recap!
We had a fantastic time celebrating the end of our Summer League on Wednesday, August 26th! It was a beautiful afternoon spent with friends and family busting clays, followed by a delicious dinner, awards, and door prizes.
A huge shout-out and thank you to:

It's hard to believe the Summer Sporting Clays League is already wrapping up... seriously, where did the summer go?!

Mark your calendars! The Northland Clays Classic (formerly Shoot For Fun) is officially set for Saturday, September 12th.
This annual event is a key fundraiser for Northland Adaptive Recreation. Every dollar raised goes directly toward providing inclusive recreational opportunities for individuals with disabilities in our community.
Event Details
Date: Saturday, September 12th
Team Price: $700 for a 5-person team
What’s included with your team registration:
A full round of sporting clays
One complimentary shooting game per team member
Food and non-alcoholic beverages
