1 to 4 persons—-1/2 day——$525—–Full day—-$800


5 persons———-1/2 day——$575—–Full day—-$850


6 persons———-1/2 day——$625—–Full day—-$900


Rates are for the boat – not per person


Tips are accepted but not solicited. No sales tax is charged for services in Minnesota. Cance

llation Policy


A credit card will be required at the time of booking. Charters must be cancelled within 14 days of departure otherwise a $200 deposit will be collected from the credit card on file. Reservations will be confirmed by markings on our online calendar after receipt of credit card information. Departure Times

Half day trips


Morning departure 5:45 am – return 11:00 am


Afternoon departure 12:15 pm – return 5:00 pm


Full day trips


Depart at 5:45 am and return by 2:00 pm, but can be changed for your convenience

Notice – The city of Duluth has enacted a bridge lift schedule. The bridge will lift on the hour and half hour. Make sure you are there and on board at least 15 minutes before the hour. If you are late we will have to wait for the next lift. It may not be possible to make up the time at the end of the trip.

Feeling incredibly proud to be part of the family behind Happy Ho**er Charters as we celebrate 50 amazing years!

Growing up next door to Grandpa Don Dahl and spending my summers fishing with him is where it all began for me. Those memories sparked a passion that turned into a lifelong calling.

What an honor it is to carry on this legacy and be part of something so special. Here’s to 50 years—and many more to come!

What a trip today! Beautiful weather and great fishing! We caught a limit of lake trout, some coho, and released a steelhead before heading to the harbor. There we caught a 34 inch musky and 7 walleyes! Amazing crew, and an amazing day!
