From Greyhounds to college golfers. Congratulations to Avery Collins on committing to the University of Wisconsin Superior and Grant Faherty on committing to Carthage College! Your hard work, perseverance, and dedication have led to this exciting next chapter. Thank you for representing Duluth East Golf with pride. Just a shoutout to our amazing coaching staff who led this team with so much heart. There is no season without this group. Early mornings, late nights, long days, and plenty of cold rounds, all for our student athletes and this program. Through every practice, match, bus ride, and moment in between, you showed up and gave your time, your energy, and your mentorship. Thank you for pouring into these athletes and helping shape this team into what it became and is becoming. We are so lucky to have coaches who jump in, help in any way they can, and bring so much to the table. We are so grateful!

Grant Faherty (SR) closed out his season and career as a Greyhound with an even par 72 at Bunker Hills at the 2026 State AAA Tournament, highlighted by two clutch up-and-down saves on 17 and 18, finishing 27th in the state for AAA. We even made our way over to Ridges at Sand Creek to support our up north teams at state, making it a great couple days of golf all around.

Grant has been a Greyhound for 5 years and has shown dedication, persistence, and humility every step of the way. Our coaching staff and community are so proud of him and everything he’s poured into this program.

Next up, Grant is headed to play college golf at Carthage Men's Golf, and we can’t wait to follow what’s ahead for him.

We ended the year with a small team get together! Bucket golf and bags with some Sammy’s pizza.

Next stop - Bunker Hills for State with Grant Faherty!

Some of our coaches and former players had a great weekend at the RCC Member Member. Love seeing Hounds out on the course, competing, connecting, and still representing East so well. It’s special to watch past and present come together around the game and continue building what makes this program so strong. Once a Hound, always a Hound.
