One of our event planning committee members, Mitch, is hosting some community crag cleanups this month, on Mondays at 5:30pm! Prep for Boulderthon, or just come have a grand ol' time with fellow climbers. Taking care of crags includes trimming vegetation on trails and landing areas (shrubs only, please!), cleaning up any trash that may be present, and scrubbing any lichen or moss on essential holds of the climbs. More information will be posted on Sunday nights before the crag cleanup - so keep an eye out! To get in touch with Mitch for questions, head to our "going-climbing" channel on Discord.

Holy buckets, there is officially ONE WEEK LEFT to get a free T-shirt with your Boulderthon registration! You don't wanna miss out on this shirt - after August 31st, register goes up $5 and doesn't include a T-shirt! Of course, limited T-shirts will be available during Boulderthon. ;)

Boulderthon Earlybird Registration is officially open! July 1st - August 31st, you can register for $30, Boulderthon t-shirt included! Starting September 1st, regular registration goes up to $35 with no t-shirt. Get stoked!!

Thanks to a member's donation, we were able to purchase MoonBoard LEDs!!!🎉

No longer is there a need for memorizing problems (unless you want to), and now more time for sending!! Giddyup! 🤠

SAVE THE DATE! Planning for Boulderthon 2026 has begun! We are so stoked to see what this year's event holds, and hope you'll join us for an excellent weekend of climbing in nature with friends!

Yeehaw! You may have heard that the climbing organizations of Duluth are coming together to offer you a stellar evening of sends and friends! Screenshot and check out the QR codes for more info and parking/walking directions! Thanks to the Duluth Climber's Coalition for organizing and pulling this together, and to all of the other sponsors for making this an easy lift for all involved!

From the DCC Website:
Through donations and sponsorship from several local climbers and business we are going to be bringing the Mellow Film Tour to Duluth! Not only are we bringing it here, we are bringing it with a "pay what you can" model so that the event is completely inclusive to all, no matter if you can afford to pay-it-forward or not! There are more details to follow, but for now save the date, spread the news, and get stoked!

Date: Thursday, March 26th
When: Doors at 6:30PM, showtime at 7PM
Where: UMD - Montague Hall Room 70
What: There will be some tabling beforehand from the kind sponsors of this event, make sure to show them some love and support! The films will start at 7PM sharp and showcase four films from some the strongest climbers out there doing several different climbing disciplines, this is gonna be sweet!
Other: The theatre we are using at UMD has capacity of 148 people, make sure to show up early to claim your spot as this will be first-come, first-served style.

Boulderthon 2025 was a stunner. We had a total of 87 participants, and the weather was incredible! To see so many people from the region come together and enjoy all that Duluth bouldering has to offer was so heartwarming. On top of that, we added some fun side-comps this year at the afterparty, as well as some fun objective points!

Collectively, Boulderthon participants carried out over 283 items of trash from the crags! There were 20 trash points available, and many folks exceeded that just because they wanted to. Amazing. 🤍

Thank you to everyone who participated and made this event so much fun - we're SO looking forward to next year!! If you missed it this year, keep an eye out for our Boulderthon 2026 announcement and be sure to register early!! 🎉
