SAVE THE DATE! Planning for Boulderthon 2026 has begun! We are so stoked to see what this year's event holds, and hope you'll join us for an excellent weekend of climbing in nature with friends!

Yeehaw! You may have heard that the climbing organizations of Duluth are coming together to offer you a stellar evening of sends and friends! Thanks to the Duluth Climber's Coalition for organizing and pulling this together, and to all of the other sponsors for making this an easy lift for all involved!

From the DCC Website:
Through donations and sponsorship from several local climbers and business we are going to be bringing the Mellow Film Tour to Duluth! Not only are we bringing it here, we are bringing it with a "pay what you can" model so that the event is completely inclusive to all, no matter if you can afford to pay-it-forward or not! There are more details to follow, but for now save the date, spread the news, and get stoked!

Date: Thursday, March 26th
When: Doors at 6:30PM, showtime at 7PM
Where: UMD - Montague Hall Room 70
What: There will be some tabling beforehand from the kind sponsors of this event, make sure to show them some love and support! The films will start at 7PM sharp and showcase four films from some the strongest climbers out there doing several different climbing disciplines, this is gonna be sweet!
Other: The theatre we are using at UMD has capacity of 148 people, make sure to show up early to claim your spot as this will be first-come, first-served style.

Boulderthon 2025 was a stunner. We had a total of 87 participants, and the weather was incredible! To see so many people from the region come together and enjoy all that Duluth bouldering has to offer was so heartwarming. On top of that, we added some fun side-comps this year at the afterparty, as well as some fun objective points!

Collectively, Boulderthon participants carried out over 283 items of trash from the crags! There were 20 trash points available, and many folks exceeded that just because they wanted to. Amazing. 🤍

Thank you to everyone who participated and made this event so much fun - we're SO looking forward to next year!! If you missed it this year, keep an eye out for our Boulderthon 2026 announcement and be sure to register early!! 🎉

Results are posted on the website (link in bio), and official photos from the event are on their way!

August Outside Climb Night Crag Clean-ups!

We're taking a week break then starting back up August 14th! We'll be gathering to trim trails, cleanup litter around crags, brush lichen off routes, and clearing choss! This is a great opportunity to come check out local crags In preparation for the 2025 DCFC Boulderthon! Or to get to know new crags in general, and get some awesome support (and a spot) from fellow boulderers!

It's official! Boulderthon 2025 Earlybird Registration is open! Today, July 1st, until August 31st you can register for $30 with a T-shirt included! After that, the registration fee goes up to $35 and no T-shirt. Don't miss out! Link in bio 💪

Check out the website for updated rules and scoring - we heard your feedback and adjusted accordingly! We're looking forward to an incredible Boulderthon in September, and can't wait to show you all what we have in store! Updates will be made to the website periodically as we solidify more details for the event.

Keep a lookout for crag cleanup climb nights starting this month, where we'll be getting a crew together to do some trail maintenance and crag stewardship.
